I'm 19 and clearly remember going to the range with my dad when I was about 4 or 5, so I've been playing for a while now. My dad loves the game trys to watch golf every weekend, so I've pretty much been around the game for my whole life.

I've been messing around at the range for years...pitch and putt here and there...nothing major

Started playing properly and taking the sport seriously this summer...and loving every minute of it!

played 2 yrs of JV in HS... then played weekly 9 in work league for 5 years... then played pretty sporadically (5-10 times a year) in college... then started playing a lot during summers in law school... now I play pretty regularly (40-70 rounds per year). All said... started about age 14 and am almost 30... so 15+ years for me, and I still suck.

1983 to 1985 pasture golf (seriously - old spalding blades, used balls, chip to a peg in the ground for a hole - kind of like playing "posts" when playing shinny)

1985 to 1989 - worked summers at a couple local courses - walked 45 holes one rainy Sunday - stupidity

1990 to 1996 - addicted

1996 to 2000 - occasional

2001 to 2008 - played 2-5 times/year

I've been playing for about 3 or 4 months now. Started playing in the beginning of summer. I used to play a little extremely casually when I was younger, but then didn't touch a club for around 6 years. Played a handful of casual rounds with my junior clubs, but didn't really start playing until the beginning of the summer.

I voted 20+. For most of my 30 years I only played 3 or 4 times a year. This year I got back into it a little heavier. I hadn't played much since 1993 when my oldest son was born. Had a 14 HC in the late 80's early 90's.

I started playing golf on August 20, 2000. At the time I was heading into my late 50s. Wish I had started 40 years earlier. Still do some business travel and have played 588 courses in 35 states and 12 countries. My goal is hopefully to play all 50 states. Have 2 tough ones (HI & AK) already played.

Started summer 06. Quit and didn't play from jan 08 to jan 09. During 06 I played 6-10 hours almost every day, never got tired of it.
