Arnie talks with Fowler, Mediate, Snedeker - Golf Channel 3/2010

I didn't see the clip, but Arnie is old-fasioned when it comes to hats indoors. He mentioned it in his book "My Life," and I paraphrase but he said something along the lines of wearing caps indoors was disrespectful and that he had learned that at an early age from his father.

No more of a tool than a guy like Tiger. And I dont mean anything to do with his recent problems. But the man cant even give a straight answer about his game after winning or losing a tournament. I'll take Ian Poulters asshattery over Tigers half-assed style of interviewing. Im not one to think Tiger 'owes' his fans anything either, but that doesnt mean he couldnt be kind and courteous with them. The man barely achknowledges them. At least Poulter can take the time to smile for his fans.

I agree, I thought his answer was excellent. He is an outstanding wedge player and played that hole the way he wanted to his wedge game. Fowler has quickly become one of my favorites, seems to have a real good head on his shoulders and doesn't get rattled easy. Great with the fans also, he will be a force.

Haha... 3 feet. One shot to 12-15 feet (which is what he did) would make that average almost impossible -- the next 9 shots you hit would have to average 2 feet. Anyways, yeah... pretty shocking decision for a pro. Probably 10% (maybe less) chance to actually hit in the water from there for him, since there was actually 15-20 yards of landing area in front of the green. He said he was 231 to the hole and would have hit a 4-iron or easy hybrid if he chose to go for it, but didn't think an up-and-down was a sure thing if he missed. But whatever, I still like him -- although the oversized Puma logos don't help.

Anyways, back on topic... I'll need to dig around online and see if they have this sit-down chat anywhere. Sounds interesting...

Well, Arnie certainly seems to think he should have gone for it and disagreed with Ricky's choice to play the wedge shot over if he could have it back. Would you call him naive?

A good case of how sponsor "requirements" interfere with common sense and good manners. I didn't see it, but I certainly like the idea of Palmer making his point - especially when there is so much talk during this tournament about courtesy and tradition.
