So we all know how the titleist prov1's will dull easily. Well I found a way to delay the dulling process. I love a bright ball and I have found if I dont put the ball in the ball washer with soap that it keeps its bright luster alot longer. Just clean the ball with your hands without using soap. It seems the soap causes the cover to dull.

I just stick my slightly used ones in diluted bleach for a few hours and that brightens them up really well.

really, hmm Il have to try that on a few ones that are dull. thanks for the tip. It sucks when they dull after a full 18 and you dont want to use them again even when they cost so much

had a question though, does soaking balls with a cover like the prov1's ruin them or cause them to play different?

Didn't really know which thread to use, so this one will do.

My normal ball monger is nowhere to be found***, and I am running out of Pro-V1/x balls. I've been using used ones anyway, and am saving all the brand new ones for special occasions.

What do you think of these balls:

Thinking of purchasing one tonight. . .

*** I have not found many on the course lately, and found out that many of the other golfers are already foraging for lost balls.

I've seen those buckets in stores and, as far as I could tell through the milky plastic, the balls looked to be in fairly good condition. Some more marked up than others but otherwise they'd represent the best of what I'd find on the course. I don't buy balls like this, so I can't tell if the price is competitive, but it seems like a fair product if you already play used ones.

Yeah, that's kind of what I think, thanks.

I'm running out because my son is playing unfamiliar courses for competitions. He shot a 41/49, 5 birdies and lots of laterals from bad course management. I'm giving him LSW as a required learning. . .

One of these days I'll post a picture of my stash of golf balls. I got into a habit of collecting as many as I could and then cleaning and sorting them back when I was terrible and lost a dozen balls a round. Now I'm still terrible but can go through a round with the same ball sometimes, yet I still have the same habits and pace of play around here is glacial with a ton of waiting, so I think I'm up to about... 80 pounds of golf balls? I have enough for a number of lifetimes, haha. I'm considering getting worse at golf so I can use them up, haha. Highest Score Wins?
