Does such a thing exist? Whenever I tee up a driver or 3 wood I'm very inconsistent, but when I just hit off the ground with my 19 degree Ping hybrid I can hit it long and straight just about every time. If there was a 13 degree hybrid I could buy, I think I would just pull the driver and 3 wood out of the bag. I've tried to hit the 3 wood off the ground, but I have trouble with the length of the shaft. I'd like to have the hybrid shaft length with the lower loft. Can anybody help? Thanks!

while im not too sure of a 13* hybrid on the market right now, there are various companies that make 15*(3w replacement) hybrids. look into the cobra baffler 15*, nike vr hybrid, titliest 909h, adams pro black, and the nike sq. i believe ping offers a 15* loft im not sure which model though.

In my Diablo Edge Tour/ Titliest Stand Bag:

I haven't found an easy to hit 1H yet. Not saying one doesn't exist, I just haven't found it. I think Cleveland makes a 1H. I hit some older ones and the results weren't great...same with a Nickent. If my wood is misbehaving I take my medicine and take a shorter shot with my 17. I am with you though. If I ever find a reliable 1H I will be all over it.

I use a 20 degree hybrid off the tee on alot of par 4's. I just do a forward press with it and maintain about a 17 degrees loft, and hit the hell out of it. It flies fairly low with alot of runout. I get about 230-240 yards, and I usually find the ball sitting on the short grass.

lol a 1 hybrid will never be easy to hit....

No offence the resualts were not great because you were not hitting it that good, is what I would say. If you hit it well the resualts will always be atleast average. I hybrid is ALWAYS going to be shorter then a 3 wood, so just remember that. No idea of a hybrid stonger then 14.5* to answer your origional question.

I had a Cleveland Halo 1i, it was very hard to hit. Maybe a better player could use it, but for me I never hit a good shot with it. I traded it in at GG and got a Halo 3i which is much better for me.

If I were you, I'd think about getting a high lofted driver. The corollary here is that equipment shouldn't substitute for improving your golf swing.
If you are still having issues, try cutting down the shaft a bit.
They just so happen to be selling a high degree driver very cheap at rock bottom golf. http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/clevel...ft-driver.html

If you have touble hitting a 3W .... it is mostly because of the long shaft in combination with a smallish 3W head. Like most drivers having too long shafts, it certaintly applies to 3W's ..... most of them are longer than the old days driver, which makes them very hard to use. Maybe the 3W is the most difficult club to use.

Several options ..... cut of 1 to 1.5 inch of the 3W shaft (maybe experiment first by gripping down on the grip), there are several 13 - 15 degrees hybrids (also really not so easy to use) or like others said by yourself a higher lofted driver, at least you then have the benefit of the 460 cc head, extra backspin, means less side spin and still a very long drive...... at least a high lofted driver will get you way out off the tee, without having to hit a really great 3W !

you ought to try a 5 or 7 wood. I used to use a 7 wood like a 2 iron and found it easier to hit than a 19* Hybrid. Worth a try.

They make 13 degree drivers with regular flex shafts

http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=dri....c0.m270.l1313

Have you tried choking up with your driver up to the shaft and focusing on your backswing. send us a video. try sticking with your current driver and focus on the basic, grip, ball postion, have a low handicap golfer watch your swing and make some suggestions to you.

One of the better players at my course and a good friend, who plays off a 5, uses a 1 iron (not a hybrid) almost exclusively off the tee. He is more accurate and many times just as long as anyone in the foursome.

I carry 16* and a 19* hybrids and find the 19* quite a bit easier to hit. Recently I have taken to hitting it off a particular par 5 that I've having trouble with the driver on and it has helped. 20-30 yards less distance but in the fairway is a tradeoff I'm willing to make. But the best case scenario fir me would be to learn how to hit that driver with consistency.

    • Wordle 1,013 4/6* ⬛🟦🟦⬛⬛ ⬛🟦⬛🟦🟦 🟧⬛🟧🟧🟧 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 par is good after a double bogey yesterday.
    • I did read the fine print tonight. It said replace with “similar features & function”.  8 yeas ago my purchase had features that today are available on the lower end models and the current version of my model has more “bells & whistles” than what I got 8 years ago.  So I am thinking they honored the agreement and I can’t argue the offer. since getting a credit for the full purchase price all I am really out over the past 8 years was the cost of the extended warranty, which was less than a low end  treadmill would have cost me. now the question is which model to replace with.  I’ll stay with Nordic Track or I forfeit the $1,463 credit so I will get Nordic Track.  And they honored the warranty and were not hard to work with which is a plus.
    • Generally speaking, extended warranties are a terrible deal and should almost always be avoided. They are a huge profit center for the companies that offer them, which should tell you almost everything you need to know about how much value most consumers get when purchasing them.  This is correct, and the old adage applies - only buy insurance when you can't afford the loss. This usually doesn't apply to most consumer goods.  To your second question, no I don't believe the offer is fair. They are replacing it, but it is not being replaced at "no cost to you". Since the amount being disputed (over $500) is non-trivial, I would probably push the issue. Don't waste your time on the phone with a customer service agent or a supervisor. They have probably given you all they have the authority to do. Rather, I would look at the terms of your agreement and specifically legal disputes. The odds are you probably agreed to binding arbitration in the event of a dispute. The agreement will outline what steps need to be followed, but it will probably look something like this.  1. Mail the Nordic Track legal department outlining your dispute and indicate you are not satisfied with the resolution offered.  2. Open up a case with the AAA (American Arbitration Association), along with the required documentation. 3. Wait about 4-5 weeks for a case to be opened - at which point someone from Nordic Track's legal department will offer to give you the new model at no cost to you.  They certainly don't want to spend the time and energy to fight you over $500. 4. Enjoy your new Nordic Track at no cost to you. I recently entered binding arbitration against a fairly large and well known company that screwed me over and refused to make it right. In my demand letter, I made a pretty sizeable request that included compensation for my time and frustration. Once it hit their legal department, they cut me a check - no questions asked. It was far cheaper to settle with me than to send their legal team to defend them in the arbitration.
    • I never thought of looking at it on multiple purchases like you said.  Yes, the extended may help me on 1 or 2 items but not the other 5 or 6.
    • Day 84 - Forgot to post yesterday, but I did some more chipping/pitching.    Back/neck were feeling better today, so I did a much overdue Stack session.
