How waterproof is your waterproof shoes?

I own pair of Adidas tour 360 II that are just not water proof. I knew Adidas leaks the most out of any manufacturer but boy....not after 3 holes. During my last round, both of my feet were completely wet by 6th on sunny morning with some dew out on the course.

I've been reading on and off comments about this and seems like either they leak right away, or not at all.
Has anyone here experienced the same with top of the line waterproof Adidas?? lol

My DryJoys hold up pretty well throughout the round. Adidas that I had previously did not hold up so well either but they weren't premium shoes like your 360's.

What I don't understand about golf shoes is the outer layer that is supposed to hold the water out. If you walk around in them and play golf for some time, cracks start to appear at the top of the toe, where the shoe flex when you walk.



Get some water there and it's going right through. And they advertise 1-2 year waterproofness...

No problems with any of my DryJoys...they are the only shoe I will wear in the morning dew.

I own a pair of Ecco golf shoes, and I've never had a problem with water. And I've walked some really really wet courses.

Morning dew and wet grass is usually not a problem, it's submersion that cause trouble usually.

I purchased a pair of the new Air zooms back in July 1st time it rained my right foot was soaked and it wasnt even a bad down pour, had them changed for a pair of adipure's and never had a problem since although the right foot on them is starting to look worn across the top,

The schoolteacher was taking her first golfing lesson. "Is the word spelt p-u-t or p-u-t-t?" she asked the instructor. "P-u-t-t is correct," he replied. "Put means to place a thing where you want it. Putt means merely a vain attempt to do the same thing."

WD40 helps keep the golf shoes water proof. I would of course return any shoes that are under warranty that leaks.

I wouldn't.

I have Adidas 360's (also II) myself and suffered the same problem. But before I went golfing yesterday, I treated my shoes with some waterproofing spray, not exactly expecting too much. They remained completely dry however, even though the course was extremely wet and muddy!

I have had my Dryjoys for 2 years now, almost always tee off in the early morning and have never had a problem. Plus they are very comfortable, if you look around for a style that is being closed out/discontinued, you can get a decent price on them.

Had some early DryJoys, and they worked fine.

Now I have two pair of Nike Air Tours (probably out of production by now). They work well too. Only problem is when you splash water over the ankle on soggy fairways.

      He plays from 68.3 / 124.  A combo tee setup of normal mens and seniors.   I play from 69.7/127.   He left after taking a triple on 14 and then leaving.  Which plays to what I think his plan is,   He doesn’t stroke on 14 but would have to take bogey for non completed holes on the way in.   Maybe that’s giving him too much credit, but he found a way to add 4 shots to his score over three holes so….     I looked up his last 20 rounds in GHIN and he has a lot of rounds at easier courses (rating and slope) that are higher than his normal rounds at home.   Since I mostly have his front nine score during the match (36) to go on, he has three nine hole scores at our course posted that are 41-43. I wrote the whole thing up to the head of our golf association who runs all the tournaments.  Our pro is not involved officially in the tournaments because the golf associations are separate from the club.   He’s pretty well known for this, however I was pretty shocked at how well he played carrying a 15.   I think eventually they will do something, a lot of people have complained.  The golf association threw someone out a couple of years ago and it was a three month situation where the guy retaliated.  They probably are hesitant to go thru anything like that again.  That is a rather crazy story I might post about later.
