They both are set up for lower ball flight. I am looking for opinions on the brand and experiences with them. Plus I am not sure I have anywhere to try them.

Why the pro launch WRX?

I play one of them in my driver, but that means nothing as to whether they will play well for you. The opinion of anyone on here regarding shafts is irrelevant. Only you will be able to decide which one works for you. They are both made by good shaft companies. It would seem that just about any major golf retailer would have them available to hit on a demo driver, with a launch monitor to give feedback regarding spin, launch angle, etc.

Yeah, what I prefer for my swing probably means nothing to you, but I'd take the Proforce. I've been a fan of the V2 and Axivcore shafts in multiple clubs-drivers, fwy woods, and hybrids. I also prefer a 75 gram shaft to a 64 gram shaft.

I've got a pair of 32x34 jeans, maybe those would fit you too?

Seriously though, it would be a pretty big waste of time/money to base the selection off of what fits others. I personally like the UST V2 shaft as well, but neither shaft is inferior to the other, just different. Both may be better than an OEM shaft, but one will certainly feel better fit to your swing.

I agree with delav. What I think means literally nothing to which shaft is better for you.

Are they nice jeans? No Levis, wrangler or Lees please. Anyway I was looking for experience with the brands more than anything, not a decision on the type of shaft so much because I know what I am looking for.

I can not find a heavier shaft for the Graffalloy in the specs I am looking for and I am pushing toward the Proforce because of the 75 gr shaft.

I like the Grafalloy since its not as boardy as the UST shaft. I have to be fairly aggressive with the UST shaft. Of course what I like will mean nothing to you since our swings are not alike.

Define "boardy".

I think of it as opposite of whippy. The shaft doesn't allow for much margin of error on my swing.

It's all perception, but I find the opposite to be true. A "whippy" shaft is far less consistent for my swing. I find the Proforce V2s to be very accurate, the ball tends to go where I was planning to send it.

if your not set on the Axis shaft, Rockbottomgolf has the regular PL Red on ebay right now for $19.99 - which is a steal!
I have the Red Axis in my 905T and really liked it

i just picked up a Regular PL Red for my R9 and a PL Red FW for my R9 3w for a grand total of $84 shipped to me in Canada (brand new shafts too)

also played the V2 and supremely hated it....but its all relative
as mentioned before, it felt like a 2x4 to me.....but it MAY work for you, who knows
but for a $19 shaft, how can u go wrong?????

i didnt like the TM Fubuki in my driver, it was too high of ball flight and was ballooning in the wind on me - so it had to go
and i bought my 3w as a head only, so it needed a shaft too - basically 2 shafts for the price of one IMO

althought it may not get tested until the 2011 year, but it will see many indoor sessions this winter

I concur 100%. If it were me it would not be the UST...boardy sums it up.

I saw that but the specs are not what I need so I am not going to spend money on something I don't know that I would use.

In all fairness bro, you are comparing two really different shafts that feel COMPLETELY different

I was trying to compare a shaft closer to the V2, but would feel nicer and is a cheaper alternative V2 75gm Stiff Specs Torque:2.2 Launch: Medium For players seeking a flatter, penetrating ball flight PL Red Axis Specs 60gm Torque: 3.8 Launch: Low For players seeking a low boring trajectory PL Red Original 65gm Torque: 3.0 Launch: Low Critical for strong swingers that want long straight drives w roll as you can see, the V2 is a medium launch and SUPER low torque rating (which is a very firm tip shaft...which will make it feel "boardy" the PL Red Axis is a low launch, low spin, w a much higher torque rating (this shaft does feel smoother) and finally the PL Red Original, is also a low launch, low spin shaft (w a torque rating inbetween the V2 and Axis) without giving us "your specs" and telling us what your trying to achieve from a shaft, really this topic is useless......just sayin

    • Gotcha. Still surprised those were that slow too, those are usually some of the quicker/nicer maintained greens of the public courses I play.
    • I go every year for Thanksgiving, this year I'll be arriving on 11/15 with 3 buddies.  Conditions have always been pretty good, greens are always near-perfect.  The only downside is that some courses will have overseeded, and they generally keep the fairways pretty wet while the rye gets started.
    • before my home course put millions into maintenance, we had a local rule used by the league that you could improve your lie. The course has dry spots of hard clay, no grass, unfilled divots in the fairway. Since the bunkers filled with rocks and other stuff and never raked, we were allowed to lift and place. The idea was going head to head in matches I want my opponent to have the best lie and shot opportunity. I dont want to win a match because my opponents fairway shot is buried in a divot. Now that the course is well maintained we dont have to rely on that rule as much.
    • "Golf is often called a gentleman's game because of its emphasis on etiquette, sportsmanship, and respect for fellow players and the course. Golfers are expected to adhere to a code of conduct that includes honesty, integrity, and consideration for others on the course." it amazes me for the right number, how quickly people will forget human rights violations, compromise their integrity and virtues all in the name of "growing the sport" (which we know not to be true)
