For me it's the downhill greenside bunker shot shortsided to a tight pin that is tough. For the 50-60 yard bunker shot I play a half swing sw ball first without too much trouble. Yes, a hard shot but fairly reliable if you know how to do it.

Stan utley makes the 50 yard bunker shot a whole lot easier to digest in his books. You basically just play it like a pitch shot with your 9 or 8 iron (or wedge or whatever) and you're trying to hit the ball first. It'll roll out a good amount when I use a short iron, so you need green to work with there, but it'll still have spin on it. I'm not saying the shot is easy by any means, but I think there are harder. For example:

I'd say the hardest shot in golf is the downhill lag putt. I might even throw any kind of downhill putt as being the hardest shot in golf.  I do my best to make them, but I make a point to keep my expectations low over the results. And I also try my best to be below the hole as often as I can

3-wood off the deck.  IMO its the hardest shot in golf.

Downhill lie greenside bunker shots are pretty challenging for me a lot of the time. I am working on it though.

same. The 3 wood is either a great shot or horrible shot, no in between.

A really long fast putt.  I think it is super hard to judge and I expect to get down in two.  It isn't something I don't practice enough so for me it is hard.

yes, like everyone here has said already....3 wood off the deck. next would be driver from the tee dog leg right. I struggle hitting a fade with the driver. So, I have to go with 3-wood and lose some distance.

I'll take a three wood of the deck, a fifty yard bunker shot, and a long fast downhiller all combined before I have to stand on a tee with my driver and hit a high draw.   A draw, no problem, same with fade or high fade, but geez a high draw is something I cannot do, on purpose or not.  Hardest shot in golf for me personally.

3 wood off deck is easy shot for me...........the hardest shot for me is driver off the tee!!!   seriously, i cannot hit the biggest friggen club in the bag with any kind of consistency whatso ever...........i hit all my irons crisp and clean most of the time and play mp57's...rare for me to catch an iron thin or fat, maybe once a round........but the driver truly has me baffled, maybe i need to be fitted or something but its killing my game and was killing my game before my 3 yr layoff........the smaller the head on the club the better i hit it.........i see guys that are way higher handicappers than me consistently getting their drives in or near the fairway, i topped it 4 times off the tee today and have no idea where its going when i do hit it..........300 with a slight draw when i do " get it" but not very often

yeah those are all hard, but what about a 50yd shot from pine needles played low enough not to hit branches, while missing tree trunks and rolling onto the green within range for a par-saving putt? lol it's tough, I tell you.

I would say a pitch shot from the rough that has to travel over a bunker and land just between the bunker and the hole ....... so difficult to have some stop on these, next might be hitting a ball out of a waterhazard ......
