I've often wondered why so many of you don't put your geographical location in your profiles.  Many times I read a comment and the poster says something like "We don't have that around here", but they never tell us where "here" is, so the statement is relatively meaningless.  I don't ask for a street address, just the general region for a point of reference.

Can any of you shed any light on this?  Why would you take the time to list every piece of equipment you use but not bother to let us know where you are posting from?

Good Point, I'm adding mine now.

I think some people simply don't want to give away too much information.

But to those people, look, if I wanted to I could figure out where you post from based on your IP address, and trust me, I've got better things to do. Give us the name of your nearest city and the state in which you live and we'll go from there. Okay? :-)

It's nice to know if someone's nearby. You might find a new golf buddy. So consider sharing a little info - not even your specific town name or zip code or anything.

Hey, I can't figure out how to do this?

Calgary has around 1.5 million people. I would say roughly 5000 are New Zealanders???. Of those 5000, maybe 200 play golf???, of those 200, I am probably the only Kieran that does golf.

Therefore, I will keep my blinds shut!

You could refine that even further. "Calgarians who can count to 3".

Yeah, see, if I'm being totally honest, I couldn't find you. I kept looking for that horse in your avatar, because clearly your avatar represents something very personal to you and not, say, a Nike commercial, and so I couldn't find your horse anywhere. I gave up and returned home.

I did have a good strawberry rhubarb pie at Patty's near downtown, though. Yum.

You've done your homework. Strawberry rhubarb (and raspberry rhubarb) pie is like kryptonite to Canadians.

Well I didn't mean to be obscure, but I spend summers in one town in AZ and Winters in another.  So here it is.  I spend Summers near Show Low, AZ and Winters in the Phoenix Metro area.  Both are in Arizona.   By the way FourPutt  at one time, in the 70s, I lived in Littleton, CO an worked for Martin Marietta.  Nice place and would have stayed there but the Company transferred me to Orlando, FL.

Thank you sir. Not sure why I left that part of the profile blank, but I did. When I went to edit my location I learned I needed to update the rest of the profile as well.

    • It's been a little more than a year since I can last remember hitting golf balls and today I just got my second cortisone injection in 11 months. I thought maybe shortly after the first injection I was going to be able to start playing again with therapy but the pain while doing my backswing past halfway just didn't subside like just lifting my hands up in the air did. So today the Orthopedic surgeon put more in the backside of the shoulder than before to address the tendon more. I'm going to try therapy for another 3 months and if I  can't swing the club without pain then I think surgery is going to be my next option.
    • I was just down visiting family in southern California and we played a couple rounds of golf. I hit my ball into the deep rough near some tree's and my cousin's husband offered me his Sim 2 Rescue Hybrid to try out. And I felt the same way, wow! I loved it, it also had a Pure DTX grip on it which I loved. As soon as I got back home, I ended up buying two used Calloway Rogue X hybrids, 3 and 5. So far I've only tested them out at the range, but I love them. They're much more forgiving than irons for me.
