New Titleist golf balls!

Anyone take a look at the new NXT tour s and NXT tour golf balls titleist has released? They bumped the price up 20$! They also released a new velocity and a new version of DT solo.

The price appears to have gone up a couple bucks, not 20. You may be looking at the list price, which nobody actually charges.

Yeah the price on the NXT Tour balls has gone from 29 to 31 I believe.  Has anyone had a chance to try the new NXT Tour S balls yet?  They are supposed to be softer, I wonder how they feel and respond to the driver?

I bought a dozen of the NXT Tour S balls, they do feel pretty soft but I also was getting more distance... I'm getting old I think I need a softer golf ball :-)

Outstanding ball. I played it today for the first time.

Will be very hard to justify buying Z-stars and Pro V1s after what I saw today.

Long off the tee, soft off the irons, putts like a dream.

actually I played a round with a guy who was using yellow balls recently.  I thought it was a joke when he pulled them out at first.  Then at least 5 times in the round we went searching for my ball and his... and found his almost immediately.  with the leaves and brush and junk all over the course, his were much easier to spot.

I only played Pro V1x until I tried NXT Tour. They are great and I dont know if I'd go back to the Pro V1x.  For me, they fly lower off the driver, roll like crazy and are just as soft off the irons. They are a little harder off the putter. Titleist has a winner with these.

Oh baby! I was playing the NXT Tours the last couple of years, as well as the ProV1x. With the new S soft version they have now, I can't wait to play them.

No need to spend $50 on ProV1s.

Our pro tossed me a demo pack of the NXT-S and said try them, you may like them.  I did and I do.  It is a good feeling ball.  For me, the shots around the green are the most important and next is a good flight off the driver.  The NXT-S plays quite well and is perhaps only slightly less reactive than the ProV1 and about the same as the ProV1x around the green,  Iron shots are not overly spinny and they flight well.  I will probably keep playing the ProVs, but in the cooler weather of winter and early spring, the NXT-S is a very good choice in my opinion.  A senior tour pro told me he should probably be playing the NXT balls, so I don't think there is any stigma at all playing one.

I bought a dozen NXT tour S balls to try out during my last round.  I gained considerable distance with these things on iron shots(a full club basically) but they still felt soft.  I usually play both Pro-V1 and Srixon Z-stars.  I still can't tell whether i like the NXT's around the greens or not....I seem to have much better feel with the premium balls than with the NXT..but it could just be due to not playing for about a week and a half, as well.  I'll have to keep gaming them when I play more regularly to see how that changes.

I'd definitely say they are worthy of anyone at least testing them out unless you're just dead set on a particular ball.  Like others, if I can save 15 bucks each time I buy a dozen vs. my regular balls, then I'll be super happy.

Picked up a sleeve of the Velocity's today. For a distance ball I was surprised at the spin I had on approach shots. Solid Balls. Lost one with a duff into a water hazard and lost another pushing a shot on a par 3 into water. Got one left haha.

Side note on balls-

Being a bogey golfer I know this sounds ridiculous but, I have no problem with the tour balls. I seem to always hit my ProV1x caliber balls (ones I find left behind by the old lazy geezers at my club) really well (don't lose em off tee, stick approach shots etc) . My swing is still developing and I'm not really too keen on a ball yet but I've noticed I always seem to hit them well. It might be the confidence of having a nice ball, but sometimes I like hitting a pinnacle red too so yeah...

Maybe you can only read into different balls so much?

I played with a yellow (DT Solo) and it was incredible how much easier it was to find the ball, and follow it when it was in the air.

I played the new Velocity ball and got great distance even though it was cool outside (50).  Think I'll start using these and save $$ over the Pro V1!!

I usually play ProV1 but just won a dozen NXT Tour from Titleist (Australia & NZ) sweepstakes, so looking forward to giving them a try & see what difference (if any) I will actually be able to notice.  I'm picking the only noticeable difference will be around & on the green.

I really want to play the Bridgestone B330-RX or RX-S, but the prices are just getting outrageous for Tour balls.  I picked up a box of the NXT Tour and so far have no complaint with the ball.  I would have tried the NXT Tour S but WalMart doesn't sell them and we don't have a sports store nearby.  I'd like to hear some opinions regarding the difference between the NXT Tour and Tour S.
