I think you want this:

http://thesandtrap.com/t/57874/my-edel-wedges-or-super-bounce-and-why-its-good-for-you-or-the-sweet-spot-is-finally-in-the-right-place

EDIT:  As far as the definition goes, its something like the angle between the sole of the club and horizontal while the shaft is pointing straight up and down.  So if you held a SW with a lot of bounce vertically, the leading edge would be up off the ground a bit.  If the bounce angle was 0, then the entire sole would sit flat on the ground.

A wedge with a lot of bounce will be easier to hit because you won't dig into the turf. Low bounce will be more playable, but a bit harder to hit for those who dig too much.

I seem to have trouble getting under the ball for a flop with my 60*, because when I open it the leading end is well off the ground, which causes me to thin the ball. Is bounce the culprit here? If so, would replacing the club with a 60* with little bounce fix the problem? Or would it open the door to new problems?

I think it would open the door to new problems.  That is unless you play off very hard ground all the time.  Under normal conditions, bounce is usually your friend.  Gives you more room for error typically.

QFT.

Learn to hit the wedges you have properly. They probably don't have enough bounce on them as it is, and as tough as that may be to believe. Most people, we're discovering, play better golf and hit better shots with a lot more bounce than the wedges they currently have.

Everything Iacas and Wiggle said ...

Plus remember for us weekend amateurs a flop shot with a 60* is not easy.  I was getting myself into more trouble than I was getting out of with my 60 so I just stopped carrying it.

You can have high bounce when the face is square and still have the leading edge not sit so high when the face is opened.  Just grind off the trailing edge of the bounce.  Never get a club with less than 12 degrees bounce.  It isn't a "players wedge" like the marketers make you think.

Also, the Tour Striker training aid proves that you can hit a very high bounce club perfectly off pretty much any surface, if you have proper swing dynamics.

Good point. That thing has like 75° bounce. ;)

I think y'all are missing something that is not discussed - a wedge's fit depends not only on bounce, but camber, and relief, and sharp or blunted edges. Even looking at the Edel wedges, there is relief, I believe, and that is as it should be. Bounce is more than stated bounce - the wider a sole, for example, the more effective bounce one has.
