Check that one out, as well as the others at the bottom. Really interesting, to me at least.

Cool.  I saw a study once comparing Owens to the sprinters of the 80s, Carl Lewis, etc..  They tried to factor in the track and shoes etc to see where Owens would have finished compared to the sprinters of the era.  They thought he would have done pretty well, but figured improved training methods and diet would have given the modern sprinter a slight advantage.

With that, Bolt is special.  He is so much taller and lanky than other prototypical sprinters.  His top speed is breathtaking.

In terms of swimming, Mark Spitz tried out for Atlanta.  He was 44 and barely missed the team.  His times were better than his gold medal times.

I'd like to see a video that superimposes Burke's 12 second run on Bolt's 9.6ish run.

There has been a study that hypothesizes that Bolt could obliterate the long jump world record, if he ever wanted to.

Did Bolt run in London after eating Chicken McNuggets like he did at Beijing? That should be worth an extra second right there.
