Anyone putt left-handed?

I've noticed the growing legion of players who have adopted a cross-handed putting grip and I wonder if anyone has tried keeping their grip the same but using an opposite-handed putter?  Seems like it would be functionally equivalent in terms of the stroke.  Within the rules?

Although not really the same thing you're asking, I once broke my putter on the 3rd green (long story, but it was old and I threw it to my friend who didn't catch it) so I used the back of my sand wedge to putt. I gripped it and putted like I was a left handed player with a left handed club, and despite a few dodgy putts it wasn't too bad in the sense of feeling.

Ii did under hit a long putt, but I'm putting that down to a lack of feeling from the club, but I did sink a 12ft putt which i was quite impressed with.

Perfectly within the rules to go righty/lefty any time with any club.  And you can carry various right/left clubs any time.  Even short and broomstick, right and left putters can be stuffed into bag. Only restrictions are that all clubs conform to specs and count does not exceed 14 total.

I have never heard of a 'grip' or hand placement in violation.  Some stances, eg, the croquet style, are banned.

I putt left handed. I do play with 2 right handers who putt left handed neither is an exceptional putter not bad just average. Both say that left handed putting takes their hands out. I tried right handed putting but it did nothing for me. I can 3 putt just as easily left handed.

I putted left-handed for one round when my putter broke and I had to use an old left-handed one that I had lying around. Had trouble with longer putts, but I was money on anything ten feet and it.

Miniscule sample size, totally anecdotal, I know. I'd like to see someone do a study on this; would be pretty cool.

Well, here's two and the opposite way. I putt pretty well right handed from inside 10 feet. Left handed not as well. I wonder if it has to do with eye-dominance? I'm left eye-dominant, so the right handed putting would put my lead eye up front.

It would be an interesting study.

I putt left hand low, and could adapt to putting left handed, I've experimented with it, just don't want to buy new putters.  One of my old playing buddies was left handed, but learned the game on his dad's right handed set, so his full swing was right handed and he putted left handed.  He was an average putter, not great, not poor, he is a pretty decent golfer as he is a great ball striker and long.
