But in all seriousness, most I've done is walked 45 in a day.  Did 18 in the morning, went home and ate lunch, went back out in the afternoon for another 18, and finished with the front 9 before going home.  I felt good doing that a few times other than my feet.  My former home course has a pretty flat and score-able front 9 and a few steep ones on the longer and tougher back 9.

Rookie mistake, should have eaten at the club to save time and be able to play more after the 45th hole ;-)

That fore-caddie looks suspiciously weighted down 🤭

Yes, but I think walking 25 miles without a bag, without having to rake bunkers or look for balls would make 4 rounds a LOT easier.

Touché! I missed that. That bag looks pretty light though, at least compared to mine (a cart bag which I never carry, but use either on a push cart or a riding cart)!

No argument that not having to do all these things, especially for 72 holes, is a big help. That said, I don't know how I would fare with just the 25 miles walk, not to mention the gazillion swings...

ETA: I would definitely need to read and peruse this thread several times:

I have walked 36 holes in a day several times. Sometimes 18 holes at two different courses in a day. A few other times 45 holes in a day. I have even walked 90 holes in a 5 day week. Never 54 in a day though. Time restraints.

About 4 decades ago, there was a 3 club charity event up north. We started in carts at 8pm Friday night, and finished at 8am the next morning.  My partner and I averaged 12.5 holes an hour. 25 combined.

It was a marathon thing, using those glow in the dark balls.

That was the most holes I have ever played in a continous stretch. Even with a cart, I was well worn out when it was all over. 25 holes per hour, combined was our best effort.

This was an annual event, and we did it 4 years in row.

Golf for fun?  🤣🤣🤪

Lol, I even have fun on a bad round. Stressful job so I understand the difference between work stress and play stress. Golf is always relaxing for me, more so when I win!

Like some others have said, ive walked 54 in a day several times. Its not really a big deal. 36 in the morning, then a break for lunch, then another 18 in the afternoon. Its pretty hard to get enough daylight to do 72 though.

Like me, you must only golf to crush the souls of your competitors in your bloodthirsty grip.

That sounds relaxed, but doesn’t sound like it happened around NYC. Need to find a way to avoid 6 hour rounds or will run out of daylight.

I did it at bethpage back in the day when nobody cared if you jumped onto the blue from the 18th tee on the black. We played all day.

    • I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
    • Day 151 1-11 flow work today. I've been doing all pause work, so Inwanted to get some rhythm going. Recorded.
    • a) No b) This MLR says: I doubt the MLR is going to affect their weekly league games, in other words.
    • So the question was posed today by some of my friends.  Is a pitch mark the same as a divot?  I thought NO, but they argued if your ball lands in another player's divot (made by club during a swing) this was the same as a pitch mark, i.e. the ball mark made when the ball lands
    • Original definition use to or still is how far offline you hit it. It might be better to think of it as consistency in retaining favorable launch conditions to optimize distance.   That heat map showed a gigantic 0-3% loss in ball speed. That is absurd. The true 100% sweet spot is tiny for all clubs. Good luck telling the difference if the sweet spot is under 3% in a sizable area. Especially considering variation in launch angle, spin, and outdoor weather.
