have you ever checked video of your swing? If not then, create a my swing thread and post a video of your swing to have it checked. It's possible what you think is the fix isn't.

Hello and welcome to TST. Tell us more about your golf. What’s your miss? What do you think your main fault is? It’s probably not just a matter of relaxing your arms and hands. That being said, go to the range where you have no pressure. Get into address position and tighten your arms and hands as tight as you can. Then take a deep breath and slowly exhale while you let all the tension go from your hands/arms/shoulders. Then take a small waggle with the club and take it into your backswing.

You can post a video of your swing at the ‘Members Swing’ thread and you’ll get plenty of excellent advice. Cheers.

@@Matthew62 this is great advice. I did the same thing, plus I visualized a pro player's swing I really like, eyes closed and slowly swing like that in my "feel". You can't do it if you are tense. Tension kills! Best, -Marv

I'd be worried about having too lose of a grip.

It might be a set up issue. Are the arms extended away from you with your elbows locked?

Get a large bucket of balls and hit to a target at maybe 100 yards or so out with any club longer than your normal 100 yard club. Even a driver. It won’t wear you out as you are not swinging hard. You will need to be swinging nice, easy and relaxed. If you focus on hitting the target it should also help in controlling the club face.

Thanks guys, I need to post a video, I like the idea of just slowing down and hitting a target 100 out with a lighter club. Thanks again!

I've been told in the past to keep my mouth slightly open during the swing.  I don't know how true it is, but the idea behind it makes sense to me.
