Just discovered these although they have been around for a year or two already.

This little mat you pin to impact area is made of material that changes color where clubhead made impact on ground.

The Acu-Strike Golf Training Mat, special fabric, leaves a dark mark that shows you your swing path and where the club head touches down...

The Planemate. Not sure if this is just for short game, will have to watch the how to video.

It's not. I have two here, and will get around to evaluating them at some point.

Early returns look good, though.

I really like my planemate.

I am not sure I need or can use the red band. But the shorter green and longer green are excellent.

Serious pull on that one, eh?

Over the past year and a half I've evaluated the Impact Snap, B-1 Blue Strike, the Medicus, an impact bag and the Power Package. None of these are really "new" though. With the exception of the Medicus and the impact bag all were returned because they're useless.

The Impact Snap has the right idea but because it's not a golf club you don't get an accurate feel for what it's like to actually swing one. The Power Package is just a piece of plastic junk and the B-1 B.S just didn't work mechanically - the slider thing on the shaft which is supposed to provide an audible click at impact remained stuck in its start position no matter what kind of swing I made. On the other hand an impact bag is simple, cheap and essentially accomplishes the same thing as the other gizmos...getting hands, wrists & arms into the correct impact position.. Further, I find the Medicus helps me get my backswing back to relatively normal if things get really out of whack.

This is just my opinion and as they say, YMMV.

I’ve never really understood the impact bag being so helpful. I can make poor swing after poor swing while beating this bag.

Well, yeah, you can make all kinds of swings and hit it but I just find it helps me to have a firm left arm & wrist and keeps the wrists from releasing too soon, which is my main swing fault.

Yeah well I guess you’re one who has basic talent. I’m not. I can swing with a straight lead wrist, shaft lean 10,000 times into an impact bag then immediately hit a golf ball with a flip.

If I had talent I wouldn't need a friggen bag, Medicus or any other damn thing.

    • Day 38 - 2024-11-07 Did a little HackMotion work to test some things out. My wrists hinge, seemingly, WAY more than they should. 😄
    • Day 189 (07 Nov 24) - Played nine with my friend Mike - mixed the bag down to a 7-club setup (3w, 4h, 6i, 8i, Pw, 54 & P).  Goal: play more irons into the hole.  Played one set of tees forward. Shot a 41 (6 bogies, 2 pars and 1 chip in birdie).  Had other looks at birdie (two of which turned into 3 putt bogies off lipped out pars.  Even with the struggles with the putting, I enjoyed the challenge of having “in-between” distances - and choosing between a club that goes too far and one that may get there if struck well.  Excellent session on course management and shot planning.
    • Had a 19 day layoff from all golf activity while we toured parts of Spain and visited grandsons in Sweden and England. Today was the big day and the weather cooperated with sun, little wind and temps in the mid-50's. I was not expecting much and made sure to play a shorter set of tees (5,805 yards  68.4/121). Joined two gentlemen even older than me. Frankly, I was really surprised by the results: 75. Only one birdie but I managed to never 3-putt on some fast sloped greens. I am going to sleep well tonight (5.7 miles and 20 floors).
