Playing today and couldn't see a rock which I've obviously hit. Is this worth fixing or just leave it? The face is OK but there's quite a few nasty scores and a small gouge out the sole of my V6 7 iron. It's along the tungsten part. Is this purely cosmetic damage or is there a chance of rust or actual damage to the club?

It's like a door ding on your car.  Goes with the territory.  Live with it, doesn't affect the aerodynamics.  Soon you'll forget it's there.

That club now has "charactor". It went up against a rock and survived, seemingly to play another day.

As long as the playability has not changed, or negatively been affected. Keep playing it.

If anything, you might to have the loft, and lie angles checked out. Also, have the hosel, where the shaft connents to the club head.

The bottom of some my clubs look worse than the one in the picture.

There's also a chance you could find a single club replacement on ebay... though you'll find more 6 irons than 7 irons.  Word to the wise:  Next time you hit a submerged rock be using a 6 iron.
