Does anyone out there know who Makes the PING driver shafts?
For example does PING make the PING Tour 80 shaft? Or does somebody make that for them and private label them?

I tried to find this information out there, but I was unable. Since there's a wealth of golf knowledge on this forum, I figured somebody here would know.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

They are Ping designs, but manufactured by someone else, previously Aldila and some UST. Assuming that is still the case but can't say for sure.

That's kind of what I thought.

Thanks. If you ever see any information on the web as who is currently making their driver shafts I'd be interested.

From how I understand it, they could possibly be from 2 different manufacturers during the same driver model based on supply needs from Ping. If you like the shafts I would worry more about the specs (weight, balance point, bend profile, etc) as both Aldila and UST, not to mention Fuji, Mitsu, Graphite Design, PX all make really good stuff at this point. If you know the weight first, balance second, and basic bend profile third, you can easily find something from any of those brands that will work well for you.

But I will keep an eye out if Ping ever divulges any info on their suppliers.

I read recently...maybe on WRX???...that the Ping Tour 65 is a UST Chrome Element shaft.

When I bought a Ping G driver years ago it came with a sticker which read 'Made In Vietnam'. I know the war is long over but for me it was a little surprising having served in theater. I guess you just need to move on.

I have no idea who makes their shafts.

A lot of manufacturers have moved there because of the tax structure and costs. It may well be the same company that was in China or other regional country, but with a location in Vietnam too. Many companies have sites in both. Tariffs play a role as does transportation costs.

What @Adam C said is correct. They have a cool system called ENSO that helps them develop the specs of their shafts. They tend to have the best stock shafts.
