People flock to hot spots in the millions every year here.

I would think a large part of that has to do with summer vacation and school schedules, but I agree with the rest of your point. You can play golf even if it’s hot and humid out. You can’t play golf when the course is snow covered and closed.

Vinsk... Do you work for the Florida Department of Tourism?

  • 7 months later...

I have done five golf trips to the USA since 2014.

The Masters/Pebble Beach,

San Francisco/Bay Area,

Bandon Dunes,

Scottsdale,

Sand Hills/Ballyneal

I also have a trip planned to Wisconsin to play Sand Valley/Erin Hills/Kohler.

They were all great experiences.

Bandon was special because of the high quality of the courses all in one place. But its a Scottish/Irish feel which may not be what you want.

Sand Hills/Ballyneal was awesome too but it was a long drive out there.

SFO was good but it was at a lower level of course apart from Pasatiempo.

Scottsdale was a brilliant American golf destination. So many courses to choose from, perhaps not all top 100 but darn good.

Going to The Masters is unique and everyone should do it at least once.

Now I cant wait for Wisconsin to roll around, post Covid.

Just check your season, that may determine the decision.

    • Day 312 - Better finishing position, fuller backswing, PRGR to see how swing speed was.
    • Going to a Friendsgiving tomorrow and I am bringing a no-bake cheesecake. I make the crust too big, but I think it turned out good. The filling is really good.
    • Sure, but how was your alignment? 🙂 Day 53 - 2024-11-22 Mirror work after getting back home. Wife is a superstar for her career/job/whatever.
    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
    • Day 128: played 9. Nice little even 9, with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.
