I've been wanting a Mevo for years and finally, thanks to Erik, I now have one.
While it's only February and Cold with Snow outside, I had nothing better to do than to dream up uses for the New Mevo.

The main purpose I have always wanted this item, was to truly see the distance of each club.
Also, to give me a general idea if my practice to increase swing speed works.
And it will help me determine which ball works better.

For the next few months, I'll most likely be indoors and will record my data / session to a spreadsheet.
@RandallT my good friend, are you still out there? Miss your great presence on TST !!

I'll most likely only test a driver and 5 or 6 for starters, but once outdoors it will be all clubs.
I will however be testing several of the Major Golf Balls.
As a comparison, I setup 4 dozen balls, all nicely arranged in order in Egg Cartons...
Each brand has a Dot, Square, Stripe and also Plain Jane.
I'll be using the ProV 1 and ProV 1x, Bridgestone Tour RXS and E-6's Soft, OnCore Avant and Elixr, TM TP-5, Callaway Chrome Soft and Super Soft and one Range Ball.

Lucky for me, a good friend and neighbor just installed an indoor facility with Skytrak.
I'll make comparisons to both devices along with recording data from both.
I feel the readings will show the performance which will enable me to make decisions on the ball I should be playing.

Upon reading and receiving my Mevo, I had a thought to try foil tape also, along with the provided Dots supplied with the purchase.
It will be interesting to see if the round, square or stripe shapes of foils, have any different readings.

So, this is My Mevo thread, hope it inspires others..

Until mother nature shines Springtime upon St Lou, I'll add sessions when I get a chance.  ;-)

So jealous.   I have access to indoor hitting bays but would love to have something like that at home.  Our ceilings are only 8' and I can't see spending the $$ to make a change.

I'm looking forward to your analysis.

If I had the space to hit balls indoors, Mevo+ wouldn’t even be a debate. I suppose that’s a good thing.

If you happen to discover that the foil sticker, for some reason, must be round. I use that same foil tape and a standard paper 1-hole punch to make my dots. The results are consistent with the oem stickers.

I'm pretty sure the shape doesn't matter that much.

At the time, I couldn't find my hole punch, so I cut squares and figured I'd try stripes.
While I was working on preparing my little treasures, the wife had gone to the store and brought a hole punch home.
I punched about 50 and have them ready for action, when needed. 🙂
Like Erik mentioned, the shape will not likely effect the readings, however maybe the length of the stripes
might help prevent "No Reads" which occur occasional, so I have read.

I'll likely find out next week as it will be my first opportunity to beat a few balls...

Good to know the foil tape works, mucho gracias …
