12.8 GIR average and 19.8 feet average  from the pin on greens hit.  I don't include proximity if green is missed.

My probability of making 16-20 putt is 10%, 21-30 feet is 4%, and 11-15 feet is only 17%.

I actually do have an idea, my first putt over the last 15 or 16 rounds averages a little over 22 feet.  I know this because I began using @RandallT's strokes gained putting spreadsheet last fall, after converting it (mostly) to work with Excel.  That average includes all first putts, whether a result of chipping or pitching or short irons or long iron shots or whatever.  It doesn't include the effect of the one or two times I managed to hole a shot from off the green.   As @iacassuggests, it doesn't seem like a very meaningful, statistic, as its influenced by a lot of factors.

Yeah it might be a meaningless stat to some, but I thought it was interesting that the Aimpoint guy actually had a stat. Hence the question. It's golf, so it's fun for me to talk about any of this stuff. Im now wondering where he got his info from? Didn't ask me. Lol

From a putting perspective the average distance of the first putt makes sense, but from a scoring perspective it makes more sense to track proximity to pin when you hit the green in regulation and then also for short shots inside 50 yards (when green in regulation is missed).

How many of us are going to make 20-30 footers?  When I make one, it is probably luck because at 25+ feet on slick greens, I am just looking to two putt with a nice little tap in.  On the other hand if I am within 50 yards (say on a short par 4 or third shot into a par 5), I want to be inside 10 feet and preferably inside 5 feet.  In that way, average distance from the pin is misleading at least for me.  I could be 30-35 feet from the pin on par 3 holes but inside 10 feet on all of the par 5 holes.  I did notice that I make a decent amount of putts in the 15-20 foot range but very few outside 20 feet.  It is just too easy to blow it 5 foot by on fast greens, so, call me chicken little.
