Tee Height for a Draw

A good player on my course told me to tee it higher to get a draw. He offered no explanation, may not have had one....

Anybody have thoughts on this? I hit a slight fade but chicks dig the draw.

I use the same tee (4 yards more/yellow) for both fades and draws with my driver.  I control it with my grip position, not by tee height.

If you hit more on the upswing, the club will be more closed compared to the swing path. It puts the ball further forward in the arc.

Lower tee promotes a steeper swing which generally gets people to swing in more.

Up is also more in with the path, though, so up is not really the driver of a draw swing. Think about when you have to hit a punch hook; you put the ball back a little in your stance so you swing out more.

The higher the tee the more people tend to swing "around" themselves and are thus able to swing out a bit more.
