I think the distance for my 7-iron is about 130yds and down about 10yds each club. I got about 200 yds on driver. Good enough? I wanna practice more for consistency not the distance.

This are screen shot from short vision.

I don't know if I understand the "Pro" designation.

Those aren't pro yardages. 200 yards of carry is perfectly good to shoot in the 80s. You will have a tough time regularly shooting in the 70s.

Of course, that's assuming 6500 yards or so. Play from 5500 and 200 is fine.

Seems like "Pro" just means you get that feature if you pay for the pro version.

You are right. I just use free version not even sure if it is accurate enough to use as guide line.

First of all, there are plenty of high handicaps who consistently have a big slice.  So I don't quite think consistency is what you want, at least not on its own.  Let's figure out more specifically what you want so we can get you there.

Are you thinking accuracy?  If so, great, but don't forget that distance is a form of accuracy.  Also don't get into the obsession of fairways -- I won't get into it here (unless you want me to), but there's a good chance that you aren't playing a course where missing the fairway is anywhere near as penal as missing 30 yards off the tee.  Being able to get off the tee, with a driver most of the time, and generally be in play (and having options besides "chip out sideways" or "hit three from the tee") is a pretty good place to be early on.

I shot in the 80s fairly regularly (or at least often enough) on courses of 6200-6500 yards with a 200 yard drive and a 130 yard 7-iron.  Part of this is that I would regularly advance my ball and part of it is I rarely played courses and lines off tees where I could get into big trouble or where I'd fail to advance my ball.  If I had known then what I know now about how to play an approach shot, I think I could have improved on those scores, too, probably just from having a demarcation at 60 or 80 yards from the pin, outside of which I wouldn't go for the flag at all (which wasn't my strategy at the time I'm thinking of, but should have been).

Also, if you get good practice -- not just hitting balls but improving your swing -- you're going to hit some clubs further just because of improved mechanics.   When I first got really serious about practice, and I think this was 2013 or 2014, I had a summer where most of my lessons ended up with priority pieces focusing on my backswing.  I remember a week where I'd hit the range for over two hours per afternoon (it was summer and I was just a teacher, so I didn't have many other duties besides a morning summer school class to teach), usually not go through more than 45 balls in that time, and my practice was all about parts of my backswing.  I think I picked up five yards or so on my irons that summer (I don't have before and after stats, so I cannot state this for certain) just from improved contact.

So... let's figure out more specifically what you want and then we'll figure out how to get you where you want to be.

Consistency to me is to just to hit ball solidly for now. My rate of hitting ball solidly is about 80% at home, 60-80% at Driving range on real grass and even lower on the course.😔😔😔😔

I would love to practice it right, instead of just hitting the ball after watching a bunch of youtube instructions. Another word, I’m just safe taught and don’t even know if those the right way or not.
