Started off in college doing internet marketing & studying direct response marketing. Worked as a marketing analyst for a large internet marketing firm for the past couple years. Now, I've left them to work as a consultant to local small business that need help with their online marketing efforts, mostly with regard to paid-search and direct response marketing not the social media stuff that's being hyped lately.

I am a 4th grade teacher in Massachusetts. I have also been writing for a sports blog for the past 6 months. Hoping to share some golf thoughts on the site, especially as the Majors get close.

Owner of a small screen print shop.  Looking forward to retirement in a few years.

I own a lawn care company.  I was born and raised on a golf course where my dad was a PGA Class A club pro.  Did that for a while but the money is not good any longer.

I am a Senior in Northern Texas going to attend the University of Texas at Dallas next year. I work in an insurance office doing quotes and data input!

I am currently a heavy duty mechanic, but I am also a volunteer Rescuer EMR and am looking to start pursuing that field of work.

Sport, media and technology lawyer with experience primarily in Asia and the Middle East. Most of the time it's just dealing with a lot of paperwork, but on the odd occasion I get to work on some pretty exciting stuff (including with pro gofers and their agents (not so exciting))....pays the bills and lets me have the odd round of golf so can't really complain!

I work in tax for a big 4 accounting firm.  Mainly domestic tax compliance and GAAP accounting for income taxes.  I have been doing it 12 or so years now.

My true passions are my family and golf!

Hello Everyone. I live in Central Illinois and drive for Luckey Tank Lines in Streator, IL. I usually play Snag Creek Golf Course in Washburn, IL as that is where I grew up at and know the course well. It's not the easiest course, but a fair one. Since I drive and sit all week, I love to walk the course. Helps keep me in shape and I find I play better when I walk.

I sell insurance, play golf, and the guitar these days.  Ive played golf since I was 12.  Ive had my handicap down to scratch or better and kept it there for about 5 years.  Due to back injury's, its now gone to crap.  I would say I'm about a 6-8 handicap anywhere I tee it up...  maybe a little better as the year progresses.  I love golf, but its never returned the favor.  My amateur/professional golf career has been plagued by financial problems, physical problems, and time constraints.  Such is life!

Project manager for an online brand protection company.

That and a little bit of consultancy for SEO and website building on the side, but that is more for fun than anything else.

Ok, I am a carpenter working in a family business, thinks are really tight as everybody knows now, but we are holding our own at the moment.  I try to get on the net often but time just flys past so I am trying to organise my time better.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
