Hello

I've seen a few members posting from Vegas and hope to get together some day.
I live in Summerlin and my home course is Siena; it includes the membership at Arroyo. I usually play twice a week - Wednesday and on weekends.

Please post here if you are interested in forming a local group or are looking for an extra player (I do not use Facebook).

Looking forward meeting you all.

Well, @mvmac is in Las Vegas, and obviously knows a lot of LV golfers, but also mostly plays at a TPC club, so… probably isn't exactly the type of golfer you're looking for as he's not going to play at a bunch of public courses, etc.

My in-laws live in Siena and we are there at least once a year. Would love to have someone to play with - I’ll let you know next time I’m there (likely late winter early spring). Played Bears Best and Rhodes Ranch last time I was there. Have only played Siena once.

I've blogged about my wanderings since 2003. I love roaming throughout the USA looking for remote public golf courses to play.

Chiming in here. Moved out here from chicago a few month ago and have yet to really explore more than a few courses.

I’d be up for meeting other local golfers if the opportunity arises

So I’m seeing that you pretty much need to stay at an MGM hotel property in order to play Shadow Creek. I’m also seeing some options to book a hotel/golf package. I also know they strictly limit the number of players on the course.

Does anyone know whether you have to book golf as a package or if you can book a room in any of their hotels (and shopping for the best deal), then book a tee time at the course (assuming availability given their limitations)?

Asking since, as a local, I don’t really need a hotel room and would just be getting one to get onto the course.

Pretty sure you just need your reservation (at MGM Resorts properties except luxor, excalibur, & I think nyny) number to book a round. I think winter/summer is $750 per round and fall/spring is $1000.

You can book a round without staying at the hotels. Often they have better green fee rates for local residents.

My dad (when he was alive) was a gambler. We used to go to Vegas often and I actually got to play Shadow Creek twice and had it comped. My dad really liked to gamble. 🤑
