Omega has some good beer. Three Philosophers is very underrated and gets the job done with a minimal amount needed.

I always have some Sierra Nevada pale ale in the fridge. Lately I have been rotating between loal IPA's from Ofallon Brewery, Schlafly (both local to the St. Louis area) and Boulevard Brewing out of Kansas City. When I'm feeling adventerous I pick up Stones Gargoyle IPA.

Is this a trick question?

Three Philosophers is also phenomenal...really cant go wrong with any Ommegang brew.  They are a little pricey but totally worth it IMO

Two incredibly worthy brews, indeed. But speaking of Rogue, how could I forget??? If there is a beer that comes close to taking SNPA's place in my heart, it is the incredible Dead Guy:

This is a difficult post to define one single brew. For me it depends on many many factors so that's why I say... You can't go wrong with Sam Adams Seasonal Brews. Hey Koch kicked the craft beer idea to public popularity so let's all (craft beer aficionados) drink one on that! Anyone ever visit the Sam Adams brewery tour in Boston? Really cool...

At the moment, probably a blue moon clone I brewed (left) . It's a bit more boldly flavored, with a hint of spice. Surpassed the nut brown ale I've been enjoying (middle). My favorite toy... After my golf clubs.

    • There's no such thing as the spirit of the rule. And, you do realize how insanely small the time window and the level of water is for water to come up with one person standing there but not another person, right? It's basically never going to actually happen like that. There are lots of rules like this: a 7' tall person's knee height drop is from higher up than a 4' tall junior's drop. Their driver is also longer, so they get a larger relief area. What are you gonna do? Beyond that, my reply to you is the same as @DaveP043's: write a better one. This one is easy to understand and enforce. The penalty for playing from a wrong place is two strokes, so no, it's not significant. In that sense, the potential advantage must be > 2 strokes. No, it's not "irrespective of it." That's why the penalty exists. If it's significant, it's a DQ, which is the ultimate penalty. See above. They don't need to judge that. No, he didn't. He could have taken one stroke to drop in the same place. This was already stated. Instead, he paid two. Of course they do.
    • Yes, a ball going faster will go farther… but it's nearly impossible for "all other parameters" to remain the same. "A ball going faster with the same of everything else will go farther" is pretty rudimentary stuff. The entire swing. The handle moves the whole time. The golf swing is a matter of both translational and rotational forces. And yet it's also kicked out a little, as it's not directly behind the motion of the hand path at that instant.
    • bought a used epic driver 3 years ago treated me well i am 72 bought with senior shaft a friend of bought a brand new  ping 440 claims he hits straighter and added 10 to 15 yards on his drive i know drivers are the most frequent club bought is a new driver that much better
    • It's true that it is not always clear where to draw the line of "significant". But I would argue that saving half a stroke or more is definitely more than significant. According to the common meaning of "significant", which is all we have because the word is not defined elsewhere in the rules.  This is irrespective of the two stroke penalty for playing from a wrong place. That penalty is only for when there was no significant advantage.  And it is possible to tell to some certainty whether a stroke or half a stroke was saved by such tools as strokes-gained, experience of officials, etc. Applying the conditions listed in the definition of serious breach.  In the example in which a player gave themselves free relief from a boundary object, if relief was necessary, then that wrong place gave a significant advantage.  Though apparently there is some sort of verbal tradition that tournament officials have a higher standard of what they consider "significant". Much higher than one stroke. And they like to take into account that the player already received a two-stroke penalty, though that is not in the rules for determining what is a "significant advantage".
    • Until I can find some positive things to post about my swing I think it’s about time to…
