Removing Morning Dew on the Greens

Is it legal to remove morning dew on the greens before putting by sweeping the grip of a putter on the greens surface, bit like a windscreen wiper.

Check Rule 8.1a(5).  The short answer is NO, if doing so improves the Conditions Affecting the Stroke.  So you can do it, just not on your intended line of play.

Did you look up anything to try to answer this question yourself?

Dew is not temporary water, nor is it a loose impediment.

So, you cannot remove it from the putting green if it's to help others. Of course, you're going to remove some just walking around, etc.

Plus, how would you get those nifty rooster tails if you remove the dew?

They are kinda neat!  Also you get to show those coming behind you the way!
