Golf speed training system used to biohack your clubhead speed. The Stack System unlocks precision speed training from golf's leading biomechanist, Dr. Sasho MacKenzie that was previously reserved for...

I'm going to try to play around with this on Friday.

Has anyone else (those with a Stack System) tried this out yet? Let's talk about it here.

I haven't - just saw something on twitter I think it was a day or so ago. I'm going to have a delve into it.

Look neat. I'll give it a try when my stack system arrives sometime in October and I can activate the app on my phone.

I have done 4 rounds at this point and here are my initial impressions.

  • I found myself being more focused on the practice green than normal. This is probably due to the fact that it produces results that compare you to the best in the world. And, I tend to be competitive.
  • I did not know how often I miss to the left. I am curious to see if I can adjust for this when I play. It is going to take a conscious effort to adjust my aim or read.
  • I would like to see them add a feature where you can track results on your watch. When using the Airpod option it would save me from answering the question of "who I am talking to" or become the the guy that is known as the one who walks around muttering phases like "made" or "fast/left". 😆

I listened to Dr. MacKenzie's interview on The Golf Improvement podcast and he stated that in the future, the putting feature will recommend drills based on your performance. All in all I am excited by this and glad that I was an early adopter.

I love the Stack putting app! The ability to compare techniques and putters is amazing. I don’t get to practice that often with it, but have enough to collect Insights by Break and Slope. It is easy to determine how offset, toe hang and weight affect my stroke.

I am best on uphill putts with break. I thought I was subpar on uphill left to right putts, but that is not the case. I thought I was good on straight downhill and uphill putts, but I lose strokes on those. Flat right to left putts are a strength, but 9:00 putts I lose strokes! It really is fun to use.

    • Day 199: did a stack session.
    • As usual, this is difficult to answer without seeing your swing. So, my first suggestion is to start a My Swing Thread.  After that, my next best guess is that you fade (slice) your driver more than your 3-wood.  I once played with a guy who had such a glancing blow with his driver that I could out drive him with my 6 iron.  Get with a good instructor and learn to hit your driver properly. Even with 93 mph swing speed you should be able to hit your driver 210-230.
    • I recently returned to golf and got a Swing Caddy SC300i. It has confirmed what I have suspected for some time - I hit my 3 wood as far as my driver. This is backed up by similar swing speeds of 93 MPH. I have had 6 months off golf and exercise, so my speed is down a bit on what it was. Driver is 12 degrees, D1, Cobra 70g stiff shaft. 3 wood is 15 degrees, D0, Cleveland Gold 65g stiff shaft. The 3 wood feels great to me and flies straight. The driver feels dead to me and tends to slice. A local pro thinks the shafts are both a little on the soft side of stiff (which suits for me). The only difference I can see is the driver total weight is 340 grams and the 3 wood is 320 grams. My question is what is going on? Surely 20 grams should not slow my driver down to the same swing speed as my 3 wood?
