If others have the flexibility, I'm not limited to weekends.

I think others are probably more likely to be able to come on a Saturday, but basically… any time that Thursday (July 27?) through the August 6th date or so is open.

End of July is better for me. The August date conflicts with a wedding I am attending.

On my end, July 28-30 is better.

Y'all may be the first group we have in Golf Evolution. We'll barely be done with everything by then.

Well… if we're looking at weekends (with Friday being a possible start day: say some could arrive Friday, Saturday could be mostly instructional, Sunday y'all could play and go home)…

  • July 28-30
  • August 4-6

Thoughts?

Ugh.... This is tough.
I'm not sure I could do either of those weekends.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

My life is hard.

Plan it, for when ever you guys can do it. I'm sure I'm out on the 4th. The 28th is a long shot. I'll do what I can.

I want to learn. I want to play. But my weekends are pretty hairy right now. Mid week would actually be easier. Go figure.

If more people were interested in doing it mid-week, I would be able to, just don't think it's a a realistic option.

Just want to bump this up and see if those who expressed interest have taken a look at the dates @iacas proposed and if one works better than the other:

Sadly, I don't think those dates would work for me.  My full swing is in a bad place right now.  It's neither my old swing nor the swing I'm trying to achieve.  Sometimes it's more like one, sometimes more like the other, and sometimes something somewhere in-between.

So, unless I'm mistaken, @saevel25would be good for next weekend, @Carl3can't do next weekend bc he has a wedding (congratulations 🎉) but may be able to do the following one, @SEMI_Duffercan't do either, @ChetlovesMercan't do weekends but may be able to do weekdays, and @iacaswill only be available until mid August.

That about right?

Yeah, I know. My schedule sucks right now.
I'm sorry.

Even though my daughter's birthday is in August, she's having her party on the weekend of July 29th.

My sister's birthday is August 4th and she's actually coming to stay at our place that weekend.

The rest of my August is pretty jammed up on the weekends. Sorry, man.

Yeah.  Sorry :-(

I'm having a rough time training my brain to swing more from the bottom up than from the top down.  I'm making progress, but, it's very slow going for me.

Part of the problem is I spent far too long learning how to swing a club incorrectly.  ("Incorrectly" in both meanings: Both what I was learning and how I was training it.)  Now I'm having to train myself out of all that.

I wish I'd learned of either the people with whom I'm training or @iacas when I started out, but, it is what it is.  Just gotta keep grinding until i get there.  Luckily, I actually enjoy the process :-) (most of the time).

The August weekend may be the best.

We're still doing a LOT of work at Golf Evolution 3.0.

We are not… because I can't say for certain that we'll be open fully.

I talked to @RFKFREAK the other day and I think he's just planning to come mid-week (next week) now.

If you're interested in coming on the 29th, Matt, let me know and if we're open "enough" you're more than welcome. Much shorter trip for you than Christian.

    • I definitely have a better outlook on BD after watching his YouTube channel and his appearances on Grant Horvath’s channel. He’s an odd character but he loves the game and is considerably more entertaining than Scheffler and many other PGAT players. I do however continue to see Koepka as a total douche.    I’m pulling for Rory but won’t be disappointed if BD wins. It’s just a damn shame he’s with LIV.
    • Day 44. (15 Jun 24) - took yesterday off (was on the road all day, home after midnight kind of thing). Today was back to it - played local course as a solo.  Played one of my fave formats of rotating thru the tee boxes - adds dimension to the approach game.  Best part of the day was the wedge play with a first ever hole out eagle on the par 5 13th hole.  Drive was tight to the left needing a punchy iron to get back to the center of fairway.  Left about 80yds to the flag, figured an easy GW would leave me close for a birdie putt.  Caught it solid and watched it one hop into the hole….over all a good day of working on the game.
    • As @iacas wrote “This applies to golf, too. Relentlessly chip away at whatever you’re seeking to change. It’ll add up over time in a big way.”  Have to say my work on key points is seeing consistent results -  slowly chipping away at a better approach game, leading to more GIR and nGIR which makes for easier pars and more up and downs.
    • day 93. Chipping and practice getting a little more comfortable with longer irons
    • 89.    Came less than a centimeter short of my first eagle. Had an ugly triple on the last too. But didn't lose a ball. Now in the last 3 rounds I have only lost 1 ball.
