What is your favorite sport other than golf?

My two favorite sports other than golf are Basketball and Lacrosse.

I have played basketball for the vast majority of my life and enjoy just playing pickup games with my friends.

I love lacrosse and play at a very competitive level and love everything about the sport.

I didn't make this a poll or anything because there are a wide variety of sports to choose from and I knew I would forget to list some. Lets here it...

I really don't play any other sport (these days) other than if you consider bowling a sport and that one sucks! lol I used to enjoy pick up games of football/basketball/baseball/street hockey....all of my friends are too old to get into those now...

You mean to tell me there are other sports!?

I like football. GO PACK GO!

Growing up, I hated golf. I didnt have the patience for it. But then I found after trying it a few times when I was 14, that I really liked it. I stuck with it, and 2 years later (now) it is my favorite sport.

For me it was mostly basketball for years. Being 6'8" it kind of came naturally for me. I started playing in 4th grade and played until 7th grade. In 8th and 9th I played football instead. I played in High School and for a couple years in college. After my colege career ended when I transfered I played rec ball and high level pick up while I was still in college. After graduating I played in a very competetive rec league from 1993-2007. This was the first year that I did not play competetively since my freshman year in High School.

My interest in watching basketball has faded over the years. It started when Michael Jordan retired but the overall drop in the quality of the game has been hard to watch. I still love the game and watched a lot of the NCAA Tournament this year. Unfortunately I did not watch the championship game for the first time in over 20 years. I missed a classic. I got into the Pistons from 2002-2006. This may seem natural with me being from Detroit, but I was a huge Bulls fan and cheering for the Pistons was tough at first. I really liked the way they played as a team. Now they are starting to act like they are good enough to just show up and win. Their arrogance and complaining started to wear on me. The last two games however they have gotten back to what won them the title in 04 and got them back to the Finals in 05.

The NFL is by far my favorite to watch. Now that I am so into fantasy football, every game has meaning for me. I also love the NHL, but that is more due to the Red Wings. I will watch some of the playoffs when they are eliminated but not as closely as I do when they are in it. Fortunately this year they will be winning the Stanley Cup and I won't have to worry.

I hope i can play that long. I played in a leauge this year where I played well, but Didn't get many points. It was too serious and the experience ruined hockey for me.

Its saddening.

don't let one bad experience ruin it... I'm 28 and have played hockey since I was 7, so for about 21 years (longer than you've been alive). I have been on a few teams where it just wasn't as fun and the season could drag on, but the next year when you play with another group that you enjoy it makes it all worth while. Plus, hockey is great exercise, better than golf in many respects. I loved the league I played on here in Ohio, despite having to drive 45 miles to play. I grew up in Michigan where hockey was huge, but am moving to North Carolina where hockey is relatively unknown to most, so it will be difficult, but I'll find a place to play. Trust me and stick with it... you'll be glad you did. It also compliments golf perfectly... winter = hockey / summer = golf

as for me... I play 1) a lot of golf and hockey 2) a little racquetball 3) and also hunt and go clay shooting
