According to GolfDigest Article:
"According to multiple sources, Mickelson approached the female employee at the clubhouse where he made nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact with her. The employee rejected his advances. As Mickelson returned to the course , the employee reported the incident to supervisors. Club officials took the allegation seriously and moved quickly, initiating a review and investigation before locating Mickelson mid-round. He was confronted with the accusation on the course.

Following that confrontation, he was told to vacate the premises and left the course before completing his round."

Don't have all the details and therefore can not pass judgement.
But for a club to go out onto the course and remove him from the course and revoke membership is not the best look.

Phil Mickelson is accused of 'nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact' with a female employee.

That's generally not a good sign, no.

I used not to like him very much, then when he won the Masters with that silly grin on his face the whole time I came around some, then I've actually quite enjoyed his videos on youtube with Grant Horvat. Now - yikes! That's really bad and he's lucky if he doesn't wind up in front of a judge by the sound of things.

Can not condone any of the other behavior.

However, having someone drive your phone around so you cant be tracked, while you schtup another women, is kind of a boss move.

I mean, I turn my phone off or leave it at home so the wife cant track me when I run out for junk food!

I miss the era when I believed Tiger and Phil were wholesome.

The phrase, "Never meet your heroes" comes to mind.

Not saying he was ever a hero of mine. I wasn't that big of a fan of Phil before knowing all this stuff.

This is so awesome; my two biggest lifetime hero and the biggest superstars of the past 35 years in golf……both turned out to be the two of the most despicable human beings in professional sports…

Between this and everyone whoring themselves out for Saudi Arabia…

Used to love golf because I thought they were smarter, better people than the other sports.

Turns out a huge percentage of them are total degenerates and avaricious scum like every other sport!

That is a bit hyperbolic, I think. Most despicable is a bit much.

Again, a bit over the top here.

Most athletes are probably closer to being normal human beings than degenerates and avaricious scum.

Just sounds like you want to generalize all athletes because it is easy to do so. Hey, generalizing a subset of a population is entirely a human thing to do.

I entirely agree with everything you said, but would just note that normal human beings are a lot closer to degenerate and avaricious scum than many of us might be comfortable admitting/might realize.

I don't think that is true at all. That is off-topic here, I think.

No! Is a large part of the human population selfish, apathetic and cuts corners in the name of self-preservation 'more than they would like to admit', yes. Degenerate, scum, etc?.. no!!

Most humans/men would not grope a woman like Phil is accused of doing (I think he absolutely did). That is scum. I mean what % of men do you think would do that? Seriously??

Answering that properly would land me in hot water, so I'm not going to. I don't think that many people would do that. I think that in certain circumstances many people would be willing to overlook someone doing that. But I was really referring to what I assumed was Tiger's transgressions (cheating on his wife) not Phil's.

While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.

Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean.

If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).
