Loyalty to a brand….

How many of you purchase equipment based on loyalty to a particular brand or manufacturer?

Personally I have nevr made a purchased based on a brand name, I will hit every club before I buy and it is irrelevant which brand it is.

I do tend to stick to brands not really so much because of the brand itself, but rather familarity with the products. I rave about other irons that ive hit (the muscle cut mizunos, the bridgestone j36) but my next set will proably be just another set of titliests. I use a 5 year old 420cc driver just because im so stuck with it. Even after buying a new r7 a few weeks ago.

As you can see by my signature I have no real loyalty. I play whatever club feels the best and works the best for me. There are brands that I will try first though and if they don't work for me I go on to the next brand that I like.

I didn't buy based on brand loyalty, although the first place I look is based on that. For example, when I was looking for new irons a few months ago, Cobra got my attention first. Then Bridgestone got my attention. Then I realized I should check everyone. And Bridgestone was still near the top of the list (although Mizuno, with whom I had had no previous dealings, won out).

I am very partial to Titleist. I still love demo days to hit all the other lines but if Titleist is on my short list (which it usually is), then I will go with it. Taylor Made makes a good driver, and I love my R7 425, but if Titleist comes out with a 425cc that I hit well, it will soon after be in my bag. I like most about Titleist the classic look to most of the clubs. Other lines are to busy with the graphics and design.

i admit it... i'm a nike fanboy. but as everyone says, you gotta like the look of the club when you're staring down at the ball! i think it just adds up to more confidence.
