My wife bought me a remote controlled cart and now I only walk. This was one of the greatest inventions in the world of golf! I find I play less poorly when I walk. Some day I'll play better!

I like walking better. I used to have an old bag that made it hard on your shoulder to walk, but I recently got a new bag and it is wonderful. I feel like I accomplished something when I finish walking a round, as opposed to when I ride I feel somewhat lazy. I also agree that it helps you plan shots as you walk to your ball.

Walking is good for you. Average courses your are looking at 2 mile hike. Good cross trainer shoes are absolutely needed.

I wish new balance would come out with 991/992 golf sneakers.

I do use the golf cart when I am playing with my boss- because well golf with the boss is about bidniz.

Yeah, a lot of pressure. Rise above it. Harness in the good energy, block out the bad. Harness energy, block bad.
Feel the flow, Happy. It's circular. It's Like a carousel. You get on the horse. It goes up, down and around. Circular. Circle. With the music, the flow. All good things.I...

Walking is the way to go.

I rode today because it was threatening rain and I wanted to be able to get back to the clubhouse if the sky let loose, but almost always walk.

Eyeing the Sun Mountain Speed Carts -- I've got an older Bag Boy pull cart, which is fine, but after trying a buddy's Speed Cart for a few hundred feet the other day, the pull cart sure seems a lot like work.

You're looking at more than 2 miles.

My home course is 6706 yards, which is 3.8 miles. Then you have to add in green to tee distance.

I prefer to walk here in the flat mid-south but when I go home to the mountains I need a cart to survive the ups and downs of the terrain. However, I think if I had a push/pull cart the mountains would be walkable. Also, it's hard to justify paying the cart fees when I am able to walk.

I prefer to walk. I can find my rhythm much easier when I walk. I do ride occasionally. Mainly b/c I know the owner of my local course, and he lets me ride for free. Most of the time, I only ride when I am having a practice round, or if I got a few friends more interested in fun rather than golf.

I find that I take more time and concentrate on my swing much more when walking. I leave the carts and the beers for outings.
