Living in Michigan I get to play at least once a week from April thru October. I do travel on business and average about 75 rounds per year. I would like to increase that to around 300 rounds/year

Twice a week currently; Wed. or Thu. league, and on Saturday. I will, however, be going on a golfing trip next week for four days with one day being 36 holes. I probably play 65-75 times/year.

I play at least 4 times a week, sometimes up to 8 if I am playing more than 18 on weekend days. I am at the course every day when I'm not working but often I am just doing some 'free practice' (chipping and putting). If I am hurting I will just do a little practice and not play. I think I am all fixed up so I am planning on playing every day rain or shine, especially after my great round today!

  • 1 year later...
I try and get out 3 or 4 times a week. Usually for 9 on the weekdays and 18 on a weekend day. I have a hookup where I can play for free at a place that has 2 courses, 36 holes near me. I'll get out there and play 9 after work with some people a few times a week.

wow, you guys are lucky. Im like the original poster, I average about 3-4 times a month. If I had my way, Id hit range once a week and play once a week. But with 2 kids and a wife, its very hard to find time.

Yeah my brother got married/kids the whole shebang and his game is ruined because of it.

If I can't play I still hit a range.

About once a week these days.

I wish i could play more, but I am in the middle of moving and starting work with a new company. Hopefully, my schedule will get more regular soon and I'll be able to play more.

I consider myself lucky...I'm married with two small kids and I get out to play 1-2 times a week. Fortunately my wife knows how much I love golf and supports my habit as long as I'm balancing family/work/golf. She'll be quick to let me know if I'm out of line :)

I'm a college kid and work at a near-by course so I get free golf there when the tee sheet is open. I have golfed 12 times since the beginning of June... though 10 of those have been in July, haha. I technically could go every morning (like 6 AM) to play, but I enjoy sleeping, and I usually don't play too well that early. I've done it a few times though.

I try to play as often as I have the time. That translates into about 3 times a week. I've only played twice this week so far, and only 9 holes each time. The weather has been crappy and I haven't been able to get out much when it wasn't raining. I'm shooting for 27 holes tomorrow though...

    • @DrizZzY does. 😄
    • does anybody still use a 7 wood? if not what do you use instead>
    • Day (2 May 24) - somehow I missed posting both Tues and Weds practice sessions - so the streak ends and a new one begins…. Focus today was on ball first contact using the Divot Board for reference.   Worked with 7i, 9i and GW hitting hard foam balls.  Started hap hazardly and then settled back into my pre-shot setup.  Much more consistent in the latter.
    • So, Newey is out at Red Bull. Where does he go in a year? Is Max still with RBR in 2026? Hmmmm.
    • August 2010 Woodfin Ridge 18th hole Playing in a large tournament with a slew of friends and the last day was two man best ball. The 18th, when it was bent grass, was very fast due to a steep slope on the right side. I had seen many people over the years putt off the green from above the hole. I hit a great drive and 3W to 30’ left of the hole. With everyone watching my partner hit it way too fast and never high enough and his ball rolled all the way to the bottom of the green.  I hit mine much higher and the ball came to rest about 20” above the hole. Then it slowly started trickling towards the hole for a walkoff eagle! Nobody said anything except my partner who was yelling pretty loudly. I looked at the crowd and told them it was okay to clap because it was a great putt, and they gave me a bunch of polite golf claps and brought me a beer!
