What's the price for a bucket of balls at your practice range? And about how big is the bucket?

I feel like I'm getting ripped. A small/medium bucket for $8.

At all of the ones around me its the same: 5 for a small 7 for a medium and 10 for a large, and at one place 12 for a jumbo.

The small has about 20 balls, medium about 50-60, and the large has about 100.

I went to visit my buddy in Dallas a couple months ago, and there is a driving range about a block from house. I just asked for a medium-sized bucket without even thinking about it, and it was $10. The large was $15. It was a decent-size bucket, but it wasn't big enough to warrant that price.

At my local course, it's $4.50 for a large bucket.

At my range, after work, it is $25 for 90 balls. I also pay $375 for a membership, just so I can reserve a stall and not have to wait in line.

I have started to go in the morning so that I can pay $25 for all I can hit balls.

My home course is $2, $3, or $5 for small, medium, or large balls. Or $175 a year for a range pass, all the balls you can hit.

Wow, some of these prices are pretty crazy. I wish the ranges around here had something along the lines of ~$200 annual fee all you can hit.

I can get a Large bucket of balls for $6.00 and as a AAA member get another Large bucket at half price....so basically 2 Large buckets for $9.00

I started playing this season about a month ago and I have almost eclipsed $200 so far... It doesn't take too much time to go through 100 balls...

    • Day 55 10-8 Same thing today. Letting chest feel like its turning hips in backswing and arms are not over-running turn. Added in some flow drill to start trying to tie it all together.
    • Day 38: played 18 at Erin Hills. Decent 81 that should have been better. Pretty pleased still though.
    • Day 36 (8 Oct 25) - weekly nine hole round with my friends.  Played decent - still adjusting to the difference in distance with the reworked irons.  Had a few out of position moments where instead of the hero shot, made the smart play to get back in play (I’m getting there on course management) Overall it was a par/bogie day. Bogie won - 5 to 4.
    • If you have only ten minutes to practice, make them ten good minutes. Day 34 (October 8).  After work and before evening plans, I had ten minutes in my golf room.  I hit 8 balls, which means I was probably going faster than I should have, but I really did rehearse and focus on the feel I was looking for.
    • Managed 51/41 this weekend.  Justin Thomas went 78 / 62 from round 1 to round 2. He has access to the best coaches, best technology, best gear, and plays probably every day (or close to it)... if he can have a 16 shot swing from one round to the next, who are we to expect consistency when going out 2x a week is an accomplishment (at least for me with 2 kids it is!).
