I was practicing a ton during that time, and thought I was putting well. But after recovery I started recording my stats, and I found out that I just wasn't that good after all. This book has very little, so far, to do with the physical aspect of putting. It focuses on using focus to help make putts. It's great stuff!

I was fist pumping like a pro yesterday!

My best on 9 is 16, dunno about 18. I'm not a good putter. I used to be around 22 putts for nine holes but now I'm down to an average of 18 putts per 9 holes.

Things I Am Good at in Golf

- Hitting it in the drink
- Finding the rough with my drive
- Staying in the bunker- Hitting grassburners all the way to the hole- Three putting- Posting over par on 18 in only 9 holes- Swinging and missing with an iron

I can only dream of a 24 putt round...

Maybe you can only dream of a 24-putt round, Ben, but you know what it feels to have a

Thanks, yeah, that was a great thrill yesterday. But, greatness is fleating. That only lasted a day unfortunately as I went 30 and 32 putts for the holes I kept track on today. But, tomorrow is another day...

My low is probably 28 or something around that number, this would not have been from great putting though, more likely from lots of missed greens and lots of up and downs.

Mine might be 22 or 23 but I actually played with a guy who literally had 18 putts, two chip ins and few greens  He made a 12 footer on the final hole for par to have 18 putts and his career low of 74.  Keep in mind this is a 15 handicap.  It was fun to watch.  The pressure really started getting to him when i mentioned it on the 16th hole, my bad.

26 putts... finished the round with a score of 108.

Good lord man! If you took nothing but a putter, wedge and 7 iron out there you'd probably shoot 90.

As far as I can recollect I had a round last summer with 23 putts. I remember having counted the putts after 16 holes and ended up with 19 putts. Then I 2-putted the last two holes for a total score of -5 with 6 birdies, played from women's back tee, though. Nevetheless, my lowest gross score ever

What are you having done to your putter? I've considered having mine tweaked a bit.

23 or 24....

But, that's because I'm missing greens and chipping...then getting up and down. On a round where I'm hitting greens, I'm probably high 20's, low 30's. I don't track putts round to round. I don't track anything besides my scores :-)

My low round is a 68, and I putted like 29 or 30 times...I just hit it great. My putting is generally a reflection of my ballstriking...I putt at a reliably dissapointing level pretty much every time I play.

I've played 9 holes with 9 putts, score +1, but back nine took me 18 putts. I'm not really sure what's my 18 hole putt record.

My lowest of 25 putts came in a very strange round in which I started off the round with a one-putt to save par and then had a three putt on the second for a bogey.  I then proceeded to have 9 more one putts, a chip in for eagle, and then at 3 over going into 16 finished double, double, double with an OB, a lost ball, and then a ball in the hazard (stroke and because of the line some serious distance) to shoot 79.  Oh and I one putted two of those last three holes to get doubles.  I average 31 putts per round normally, and anything under 30 is good for me.  This is a serious goal that I am working towards.

    • Ahh the old classic "nobody agrees with me so I don't want to talk about it anymore"
    • @anaveragehacker, you’ve been ignorant this whole time and now you’re being disrespectful. Not a great combo. You asked what the rules were and we told you. You complained about them and we told you why they were the way they are. The “who is the committee?” Question has been answered a few times. Dave and I are Rules Officials and the other people replying know the rules far better than you, so the fact that we are all disagreeing with you should say something. this thread is going nowhere and your original question has been answered several times.
    • What is this committee I keep hearing about? We’re a small league playing at a county course. And these are temporary issues that may be gone in a day or two. In any case, I wish more people agreed with me. It seems that trying to convince golfers to modernize rules is like trying to change the Bible. You guys are so serious it kind of proves my point. Other sports make adjustments for  field conditions etc during lower level play. This isn’t life and death here, it’s sport. No need to keep arguing. I have my opinion and you have yours.
    • Yeah, I agree that some of the charts are hard to make sense of. That short game chart is showing how often a short game shot ends up within a certain distance. The orange bar is all shots, the green bar is for shots within 25 yards, and the blue bar is for shots between 25 and 50 yards. I just play around with all of it and will figure it out. I would suggest just diving in and see what jumps out and work on that.
    • PGA Tour players weight shift to their lead foot way sooner and to a higher % than amateur. I would say it is something like close to 90% lead foot at impact for PGA Tour player. For Amateurs it could be under 50%. You need to get the weight transfer over more and sooner. You can't rely on the feeling of finishing on the lead foot as validation you did so.
