I have a 49 rack of course logo balls.  I might scrawl on the corresponding ball some of those accomplishments (I can think of 9, see below), or make a little tag.  It's getting full.  Goal this year is to play a lot of new courses.  Enjoying it a lot.

Doable -

  • I have a ball from the 1st Eagle course.  So that will get tagged.
  • My first birdie was decades ago and I don't remember the course, it was in Kansas City.  Else I'd do that too.
  • My low score (+2 - 74) from last year, they are just now ordering logo balls so I'll stop by and get that one - and definitely mark it up.
  • Can't think of anything other than the eventual Ace.
  • And maybe the first par or under round.  it's close....
  • First real tournament - unlikely, not interested
  • First and any tournament win - unlikely, not interested

Wouldn't it be cool -

  • I love to have my definition of "perfect round" (all Fairways hit, all GIR, all 2 putts or better) - that's a 'stretch goal' to say the least (likely near impossible for my level of play and practice) - but one gets lucky in stretches.....
  • There are a several courses I play with Par 4 greens I can reach, and most of the par 5's I can sometimes reach in two, maybe an albatross is possible, I'd mark that one off too

I have the ball from my hole in one, although it's not displayed or anything, just sitting in a drawer. I also have the scorecards from the first time I broke 90 and 80.

I have: First birdie on par 4 (also first ever) First birdie on par 5 First birdie on par 3 Will keep when it comes: Eagle par 4 Eagle par 5 Ace Albatross (can dream!) Wish i'd kept: First par (3,4,5) I've never had a noteworthy whole round where I didn't lose a ball - broke 100 and 90 with at least one in the drink. Should I have a milestone round without losing one, I'll add that to the collection.

I personally never thought about saving any golf ball other than one used for a hole in one. I know I'd save that one (and I'd get a bag tag from Titleist if I was using a ProV1 too) but I haven't saved anything in particular besides one of my high school logo balls. The coach orders 20 dozen or so ProV1x's at the start of the year with the school logo on it (he is the head pro at a course, so he gets discounts to bundle it with the course order and pay for them separately) where you get a sleeve of them each tournament you play in. I might save an albatross ball if I get one.

Never kept any balls from any of my achievements.  I'm not a collector and it never even occurred to me to do so.  Both of my Aces are firmly impressed in my memory, as are a couple of the many eagles I made while I was still long enough to reach many par 5's in two strokes, but I kept no trophies.  I never really thought of birdies as being all that special.  I don't even remember my first birdie, or my first eagle.

Same here. If I ever make a double eagle to win the Masters or something I might keep the ball (if somebody reminds me).

Pretty sure all of my "eagle balls" are in the bottom of various lakes and usually on the next hole from where I made the eagles.

Didn't even have the option of keeping my first eagle because it was on the fourth hole I ever played and I didn't even know it was an eagle (or what an eagle was) until my son told me later. Since I hit about 4 in row OB on the next hole I'm sure that ball was long gone before he mentioned the "eagle".

Both of my aces were made in 1989-90 with Titleist balata balls, and I probably just played them until I put a smile on them, or beat them out of round and tossed them in the trash.

I'm keeping my ace in a drawer right now, but not sure what to do with it.. Most likely I will get tossed out by the wife before I figure it out.. Maybe if I get another one or two aces I'll then have something to display somewhere?
