End of the golf season - what do you do in winter?

We once played winter golf in NY. Now with age we just go to Florida. Putting in Fla is a different experience as is hitting out of Bermuda rough. But its golf and there is no snow.

In the winter I play golf in the rain... :)

I live in Northern California, where golf season never ends -- and if it rains too much I fly to Palm Springs or Vegas to get in some rounds.

this year I think I will get one of those golf cart covers and then a coleman cart heater. I figure if I could keep my grips warm and body warm I could stand the cold.

The heated range keeps my spirits up. It's always cool to see my ball flying through falling snow. Until I realize I'll have to drive home in that snow, damn Chicago winters!

We never get snow over here but hopefully i will still be playing golf as long as it doesnt rain, i don't mind the cold as long as im able to play its fine.

This is a serious question, cause this is my first winter (I started golfing in early summer).

I see some people basically write off playing. Courses don't typically shut down or anything do they?
