The driver is getting a work out tomorrow. Already have hit a 60 with my new bat. Weighs 2 pound 11 ounces. It is custom made with a higher middle and is hand crafted locally.

Really excited about the irons. They came with x100 shafts though which is gonna be a lil much for me i think. Any suggestions on what I should put in them? I have s400's in my r7 irons and not a big fan of those either.. Thanks!

Sarazen's book is a true "classic". You have plenty of reading to do, as you said, but if you want a suggestion for the future, then try to buy the following: "The Walter Hagen Story" by The Haig, himself The section on the historic match in 1926 between him and Bobby Jones is very interesting. It was supposed to go 72 holes, and started out on Jones' home course. I will not divluge the rest. Also, Hagen was an outstanding baseball pitcher for the Rochester Ramblers in Rochester, NY. He was offered a contract to sign with the Philadelphia Athletics to pitch in the Major Leagues, but declined it , saying that he would make more money playing golf. He was right. Every professional golfer today, whether a club pro or Tour pro owes a lot to The Haig, as Arnie has freely acknowledged.
