I have been looking at getting a new #3 wood. I have been browing the net looking at used. Just wonder how old the 906F2 are and just your all thoughts on the club.

I have the 5 wood in my usual set and the 3 wood at my holiday home.

Really like them.

Have you thought about the F4, more forgiving for you perhaps.

yeah I agree with the above poster, being your handicap you'll want something more forgiving, and most likely something that launches a little higher. check out the 906f4. The f2 might be a little hard for someone to consistently get down to, and hit straight.

Personally, at a 34 i would steer away from titleist clubs..maybe check out the burner or the g10 or something else..

But if you want the 906F2, it depends really. For me, I liked it, alot, off the tee, had a real tall face, but i didnt like that look in the fairway, and since im a big feel/look player, i never could get comfortable playing it from the FW, so i went with a 18 degree 906F4, which has a slightly more forgiving deisghn, with a less tall face. worked well for me atleast.

But the F2 is sitll a fairly demanding club..

Just ordered a 904f a couple of days ago. It might be at my mom's right now (I'm at my dad's). Read a lot of good reviews about them, plus they're relatively cheap.

how much did you pay? and was it new?

I was looking for someting that has a taller face than my Mcgregor NVG2. The main reason is to use off the Tee box. I have a 17* hybrid I use mostly for those Tee shots when I have to lay up. As for the hybrids they may not be any taller than my current 3 wood I am just more comfortable hitting it. I also was thinking about buying a Ping G2 3 wood off the bay or 3 balls Idont know actually how it would compare. Thanks

I have it. I really like hitting this club off the tee or from the fairway. It may sound silly but I love the sound when I hit it. I really like this club, if you like it and hit it good, buy it!

Titleist fairway woods are often best for people who hit most other brands too high. The quality is first rate, but the design favors the strong player.

The average recreational player can hit the Titleist in many instances, but would require a high launch shaft with a low flex point.

Otherwise, you may be looking at line drives that don't go as far as you'd like.
