Even though I'm playing a Scotty Cameron, I still think the best putter ever made is the original Odyssey Two-Ball (not the White Steel model or XG or whatever else models they've had). I'm thinking it's time to put one back in my bag.

Best putter I ever had......still waiting on that one.

Actually....the putter I did the best with over the years was an Odyssey Rossie model.....back in their early days.

As my putting has always been a big let down I recently made a big effort to find he right flatstick for me.After trying out loads of different ones the "finalists" were
Odyssey black series
Bettinardi C02
Taylor Made Rossa
Scotty Cameron studio select

I eventually went for the Bettinardi as it was the best for me on long putts (got close enough to give me a good chance of avoiding a three putt)Lovely balance to it,"runner up " was the scotty

I have figured out that the Quest for the Perfect Putter is a sickness. I started playing with an Odyssey Two-Ball putter, did okay. Tried a Ping Bergan, switched back to the Odyssey. Finally scored an old-school original Ping Anser, been using it lately, but now I find myself looking at Scotty Cameron's and Yes! putters.

It is a sickness, and I am afraid it isn't going to end well . . .

I had a Unitized retro. I felt it had a very firm feel and I think they are very underrated. They have a very high quality look and finish to them. I went through a bad putting patch and sold it to my brother (the problem was it was too long at 35"). I'm now using an Odyssey White Hot XG which i'm very happy with (it's the correct length for me at 33").

For me the best putter out there is the Scotty circa 62 no. 2. It feels amazing and I can actually make putts with it enough said.

I hate my 2-Ball. Definitely getting rid of it soon. Maybe going to the old Titleist models (Bullseye, and Dead Center). Not a huge fan of mallet putters. Thought I was, but I'm really not.

Exactly what I thought when I was in the market for a new putter. Tried a ton of other putters and Unitized Tiempo felt the best. I bought mine brand new at local pro shop and first I cannot believe that these were on sale for $89.00 especially after I found out how much they were originally. I definitely agree that these Nike blade putters are underrated. It is a little on the heavy side but even on off-center hits it never felt like the club head twisted at all.

I really liked my 2-ball....it helped me out with alignment a great deal.

My putting stoke changed after I decided to make some fairly fundamental set up changes and get things straight for the long haul. My preferences then changed to a heel-toe weighted putter with the midslant neck.

Today, I got the itches again. (always sunday evening, it's ebay prime time)

I pulled the trigger on a HeavyPutter B3. (I have to say, it is not really a beauty)

I tried it yesterday in the store, and it felt really good. It is a mallet putter, and since it is so heavy, I figure it will really help me get my putting setup straight.
Once aligned, this putter moves like it is mounted on railtracks.
Let's see if it makes into my bag.

Does anybody else use a HeavyPutter?

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
