Well iv got a good bit of money to burn and am thinking about regripping. So if anyone has any suggestions on good grips. Cost is NOT a problem. Anything but im not a huge fan of the super soft pillow like grips. Thanks in advance

I agree I replaced all my iron grips over the winter with the Golf Pride multi compound 1/2 cord grips and after quite a few hours on the range let me tell you these things are sweet. Hybrids and fairways will be next. My Driver has a Winn PCI Hybrid red and black grip which works well on that club also.

Lamkin cross-line on irons, wedges and woods and a nice Grip-Master leather wrap grip on the putter for me! I'd love all Grip-Masters if I could afford them tho!

Check out the Lamkin Dual Density Torsion Control. Very nice grip, especially if money isn't a problem.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

Medallist makes a solid velvet grip.

I understand that cost isn't an issue, but why spend the extra money if you are going to regrip when they wear out?

I regrip every off-season and buy the cheapest grip, maybe I regrip 2X a year, but it saves me money whos plays and builds clubs on a budget.

I just like those simple tour velvet grips. Always wanted to try those multi compound grips that were half cord but The simple grip feels so good already so I just stick with it.

I really like the Golf Pride Decades, but they sure seemed to wear fast. Anyone else have this issue? When I switched out shafts, the fitter, who would have been happy to sell me the more expensive grips, asked what I used before when I asked about the wear and tear. I told him I had always liked Golf Pride Tour Wraps and at his suggestion went back to them. Glad I did. One interesting thing, he also had me move up a hair in grip size and after hearing the explanation and using the new size, I like the difference.

I actually have the new decades on my irons and my old wedges. Through one season actually not even probably somewhere around 9 months. Now i have to give the wedge the death grip for it to not fly out of my hand.

Unrelated to the wear issue, the fitter explained to me that I was gripping my too small grips too tight, because they were too small and that a larger grip would help my grip pressure and maybe free up my swing a little. I had always read that smaller grips would promote a little more freedom in the swing, but I suppose one has to grip them "right" so as not to cause other problems, and I wasn't able to do that.

I will say to the original poster, the Golf Pride version of the Tour Wrap wears much better, period, than the comparable version in the Winn. I tried those initially on my old PINGS when they first came because I hated the PING grips, and dumped them for the Tour Wraps after about 2 months.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
