driver-medium launch that climbs gradually higher and higher, mostly straight the occasional slight draw or fade....irons-straight with medium/high trajectory, ocassional little draw not much....wedges-straight, relatively high trajectory.....normally my shot trajectory is a low-mid launch that climbs higher and higher with added distance.

I just try to hit it straight. I view sidespin as my #1 enemy. My good shots go straight, at least. A fade is fine, but draws scare me. I don't think there's anything worse than having to fight a case of the hooks.

I have a high draw as a natural shot shape but I've been trying to play a fade as much as I can. I've tried to keep the draw for any shots to the fairway so it runs a bit and approach shots to fades so I get softer landings when I hit those greens. I shape to the course too but if I don't really need to do anything spectacular, I'm gonna try to hit those shots.

my irons are almost invariably a high draw. my misses are usually slightly lower pushes. my driver is a mid-trajectory draw, with misses also usually being a push.

When my ball-striking is on, I hit it straight, and may hit a slight 7 yd fade if I want to.

Depends on the shape that would be suited best for the shot. I work the ball anyway I want.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

i can only wish i could work it on command and get the results like you.

my PREFERRED shape is actually a slight fade....but that's gone now that i've been re-working my swing during the off season.... i can work the ball... but not as consistently as i'd like..... i'm still learning how to control how much the ball will turn in either direction.

I hit a draw with every club except the wedges(sometimes I hit a slight draw with the putter). The driver and woods are usually a 7-10 yard draw, which causes problems on holes with tight tee boxes. My irons are a slight draw. I love to hear some guys talk about taking the left side of the course out of play, that's where I play from 90% of the time. It sucks on several of the courses I play, because they all of their dog-legs are right and tight.

Driver: Low straight drives, sometimes slight fade which I prefer.
Woods: Straight high
Irons: Straight, and slight draws or fades when I need to avoid trouble. I used to be able to cut it on command, but can't cut it too much anymore.
Wedge play: Depends on shot. Lately lots of wind so I am playing low trajectory one bounce shots. When no wind I go for the towering high drop dead shot.

My natual shot shape is perhaps a 1 or 2 yard draw. I pretty much hit everything dead strait at whatever my target is. I dont "work" the ball from side to side very much. I have a high cut with mid and long irons that i can control pretty well, but i rarley use it.

Low draws across the board. Need to get my long irons higher to become a player. I do like my wedges when its windy though. I think I hit a fade once...this was not confirmed by my playing partners.

Driver and 3 wood are high fades.

Hybrids are dead straight, I still carry a 3 iron just because it's much more workable for me than the hybrids.

Long and mid-irons, I'll work as needed, but prefer a high draw.

Short irons, I prefer a high cut.

I've been known to shank a putter......

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
