Although it was on TV a few years back, I never got round to watch it but I finally have just finished watching Six Feet Under and wow! what an ending.

A cracking ending to one of the greatest tv shows ever made.

It's got me thinking of TV shows with fantastic endings..

Three more hours of Battlestar Galactica. Hope everything gets resolved and it's good.

I always loved the way "Cheers" ended. It basically didn't end - it's just no longer being filmed. I hated the way "Seinfeld" ended, although it's grown on me a little over the years having seen in so many times in syndication now.

The greatest ending ever belongs to one of the worst shows:

Stripmall - Was on comedy central for two years.

At the end of the second season they killed all the characters.

the best ending to a television series was the last episode of the Wire. If you havent watched every episode of the wire on HBO, you need to watch. The last episode did such a great job making the viewers realize the essence of the show. It shows about the cycle of life on the streets and is a great anology of life in general. I would love some imput on this last episode from anyone that watched the Wire. It also did a great job of showing how similar the drug dealers, the police offiicers, and the politicians really are, and how their chain of command is very very similar. Just a great show and I cant say enough about it.

M*a*s*h...

Interesting. I'd consider M*A*S*H (before it moved from comedy to social commentary) to be one of the greatest shows of all time, but the final episode was probably the single biggest disappointment I've ever seen on the tube.

Interesting.

I was such a big fan of the show and at the time some of the commentary was lost on me, I was only 17 at the time. I still watch it today and can look past the social stuff and still laugh at the comedy.

I cried the first time it aired and more times watching it again. Its on youtube and its fantastic. The best 10 minutes to ever air on tv.

It shocks me that more people didnt watch SFU. Shocks and saddens.

I remember when it was on TV back home that I used to play soccer when it came on but ended up getting the box set on the 'chance' that I might like it as I liked Sopranos and the reviews it received.

Amazing program, really past few days, I cannot stop thinking about this program and I'm 26 years old. Glad there is another fan on the forum

I remember really enjoying the last episode of the Mary Tyler Moore show, although I watched it when I was 10,11. I can't remember what the last episode was anymore.

The last episode of Buffy:TVS was fantastic. I'm only a few episodes away from the last episode of Angel, and I'm told I'll like that ending, too.

The Wire:

I loved the ending too, with McNutty stepping out of the car, taking a look back. The cyclic nature of the beast with Michael taking Omar's place. "That money - some of it needs to be mine." Classic. Dukie's descent into a drugs, Bubbles' ascent out of drugs. The initially well meaning but corrupt mayor becoming governor. Daniels becoming a defender. Wow. The Wire - some of that show needs to be watched again.

Lt Daniels is pretty good in Fringe, but while initially intriguing, Fringe isn't enough to keep my attention.

Seinfeld / M*A*S*H:

Disappointing endings, both. M*A*S*H was a little too syrupy and Seinfeld had too much to live up to. Alan Alda had a good role in the ending of West Wing though.

Battlestar Galactica:

They really drew out the last two episodes. There's lots to resolve in the next three hours. Who wins out? Cavil or the Human/Cylon alliance? Will Boomer try and redeem herself? Starbuck - what does her harbinger of death mean? How will Galactica go out in blaze of glory? I want to frakking know!

The Finale was funny, but it wasn't a good ending. The content itself was gold, though.

How can you not love Seinfeld! It was so Seinfeld. I was always disappointed that Kramer got hurt and couldn't continue his golf career.
