I have a bet with a buddy of mine that she won't win twice on the LPGA this year. Although she has phenominal talent, she has never learned how to win. Unlike Morgan Pressel, who had won everything at her level before she jumped to the pros, Wie has wasted her time making political statements, IMHO.

And unless you are under the leagl drinking age, thinking she is "cute" is strangely perverted. I think Natalie Gulbis his hot, but she is over 21.

isn't making the cut a yes or no proposition?

what I meant was - I put up $10. If she makes it - you pay $20

That's 2:1 odds. After all you read in this thread - it should be more like 5:1 odds !

I have underwear older then her so lets stop hitting on the little teenie bopper

the word "teen" makes anything sound hot. with or without a hairlip

by the way - I'm not "hitting" on her. I'm drulling all over, that's true - but if you scroll up you'll notice, that I always named her my "future" girlfriend

Since you are 40 you could possibly have a 16 yr old daughter... now would you like a bunch of old men drooling on her? I think not.

sleepovers must be very special for you... Ok a bad joke.

The fact remains that Wie has a million dollar swing and a ten cent head. She is the Nuke LaRuche of womens golf. Maybe she should play in garters and breathe through her eyelids.

Guys, let's try to have a sense of humor here. Rafi is not a dirty old man (some would say he's not old enough, ha ha ha). Lighten up, stop taking everything so literally, etc.

talking about it - I was at my friends house one night and you wouldn't believe what happend...ok, ok. I'll stop.

As Erik pointed out about me - I'm not THAT sick - beside the golf, stand-up comedy is something I love. It's something about pushing people's buttons... sometimes I can't help it Since my polish accent prevents me from making it my carreer choice - I'm trying it here, but it seems like you guys are all serious golfers with not an ounce of perverted sense of humor... too bad.

Just found out that she will be playing in the John Deere in July which is before the 84 Lumber. Ok I'll give you those 2:1 odds.

ok, I know the asian tour is not really the best of the best... c'mon, give my future girlfriend some props :

Okay my turn to join, I only have one thing to add. Where is she in any world ranking?

She's not in the womens because she doesn't have her 15 current events and she obviously can't be in the men's so what is she gaining other than lots of cash?

Great she made the cut. I thought the point of any sport was to WIN! She has not won consistently on any level and just seems to be content with being a marketing gimmick. Granted she has game (although I wonder about her mental makeup) and she will improve but so will all the men she will have to play against. Does she want to be the elite LPGA player (maybe) or someone who is struggling to keep their PGA card?

PS - Rafi: Your comments (and sense of humor) are priceless! Perhaps you should think of side career in standup. On the comedy note, the G4 network played the best of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog last night. The segment where he interviews all the people standing in line for the opening of Star Wars Attack of the Clones might be one of the funniest comedy routines ever . . .

Well, I'm sure that NM Golf was a perfect gentleman at 16, right? I mean the perfect only critise the imperfect. How dare she act like a sixteen year old. Next, we'll critizise how when he was 16, he was probably still working at the gas station trying to buy his first car, while Michelle Wie has millions of dollars in the bank.

Nice going.

Sorry didn't mean to hurt your feelings by bagging on your dream girl.

Isn't she a little old for you though?

    • You know what, I have thought about moving to Arizona a little bit, but I do love the winters here. It really is nice down here from like November thru March. And I totally would do a home setup thing, I really should, but my stupid tennis elbow is really so easily flared up. It's getting better every month with dry needling, but it's so annoying too. I do think I'm finally solving the root causes thru both the dry needle treatments and fixing this steepness/toe strike thing. The former actually does heal it and learning how to plane the club correctly reduces the trauma the elbow takes because of the increase in sweet spot hits. I really should just do a trip to Scottsdale though, I went there once many years ago and it was a beautiful place. Didn't play golf at the time so I really should go. I'd love to get away from the humidity too. And I know there are great mats out there, like at Golf Evolution for example I've been told. In my case, I will hit foam balls off a mat sometimes at home and that has some of the effects of actually hitting a ball while reducing the impact. And this is maybe a topic for another thread, but I've found just making air swings to be more beneficial to me than I originally thought -- that going really fast and not hitting a ball shows my flaws quite a bit too. I'll film myself just making fast air swings inside and trying to fix it. It's almost like speed training except if speed training included trying to make a really technically sound swing on top of it. Hopefully this comment isn't too much of a tangent, but It is the winter depression thread, so maybe tangents about what to do with oneself indoors with golf is okay. Appreciate it though, I really have thought about Arizona a couple times over the last year at least.
    • Day 23: chipped in the garage with foam balls. Focused on crisp contact. Did mostly lower chips but mixed in some higher ones. Slightly more open stance, plus ball more toward middle, plus higher handle led to the best results. Need to keep those 3 things in mind.
    • Day 2: Worked on distance wedge swing feels. The feel for me is to keep the upper body down more while straightening the lead leg.
    • Day 18 (September 22).  I understand the two club drill better, and was alternating that and hitting a few smooth 6-iron shots;  indoors, off a mat, into the net.  I spent about 20 minutes on this thus far tonight.
    • I don't know your family or work situation, but have you considered relocating to Arizona?  I was out there the past month or so and played quite a few times;  it's hot, but not humid.   Or, if your house is sufficient size, consider setting up an indoor practice area, so at least when the weather or your schedule isn't cooperating, you can still hit a few. ... said Shindig, who has routinely disappeared for months, sometimes a year or more, at a time because of getting busy at work and just quietly sobs to himself as he walks past the room where his mat and net are during that time.  Dang, I need to not allow that to happen again.
