Which grip do you use?

This forum has lots of polls. Here's one I was thinking about, and I didn't see in the past by doing a search.

What kind of grip do you use?

1) interlacing (pinky and index finger loop around each other)
2) overlapping / Varden (pinky rests between opposite hand's index and middle finger)
3) baseball / ten-finger (no interlock/overlap between hands)

INterlacing for all shots... didnt even know there was another way to do it for the first 15 years I played.

I use the baseball grip. It's just what feels right, and I think it works fine for me. Harvey Penick once said "Don't be afraid of a guy with a good swing and a bad grip, be afriad of the guy who has a bad grip and a bad swing." Because that guy has learned to play with his faults. And since i'm sure my swing isn't perfect, I figure the ten finger grip will work just fine.

Overlapping, and probably the weakest grip of anyone here on the forum, because when things start to go bad for me I tend to hook the ball, this takes it out of the equation for me for the most part.

interlacing...i've tried both at one point but the interlacing grip just feels stronger.

I've always used interlacing, but I recently tried overlapping for the first time, and it was an interesting experience. Let me preface by saying that I have not taken the grip to the range, but from just swinging the club my immediate impression was that my right-hand grip was much "less tense", or "looser". Intuitively, this feels less secure, but I'm wondering if this is not a better grip. Basically, I don't feel that I can strangle the club with my middle 2 fingers with the overlapping grip, while I often have to check myself when holding the club in the interlacing grip. I must conciously loosen the grip with these middle two fingers.

So I'm interested in taking the grip to the range and verifying this. If nothing else, I figure I'll definately switch to overlapping on chips around the green. Has anyone played around with this, or noticed something similar?

Interlacing, but I see the potential problems with this grip...Excessive locking pressure can make you have overactive right arm. Suggest an overlapping grip for most people.

i use interlacing for all shots but putting. for putting i hold it the same but without my thumbs ontop of each other.

I learned interlacing as a kid, but when I was about 24 a guy switched me to overlap because of my hands being large. I have tried hitting balls interlaced since then and it hurts like hell.

Yes Interlocking! LOL.
I use interlock for almost all my shots. Seems when I have very sensitive little chips around the greens I go to a baseball grip for some strange reason...

I've used both, but overlapping seems to just feel more natural to me.

I know it as Interlocking as well...although I use Overlapping!

I used a baseball grip until I had my first and only lesson at 16 years old. Following the pro's strong recommendation that I change to either overlapping or interlocking I have used an overlapping ever since.

I use a ten finger grip. I have small hands (most men's gloves in small are still big on me). I'm still learning but I've just been able to hit better with the ten finger grip. Should I be trying to use a different grip?

Baseball grip for myself, grew up playing baseball just feels and works the best for me.

I do putt left-hand low with a interlock for putting.
