haha yeah I know its a little weird. My first set my grandpa gave me had some old Cleveland wedges in it and I just can't get off the feel and love the way the RTG and the oil quench rust over time. Trust me, i have tried Vokey's but still can't beat the Clevelands. I played  a Scotty Cameron for the last 14 years and just switched to a custom fit Bettinardi that my wife got for me and it is just as good or even better then my Cameron.

Right now:

Nike Dymo 9.5

Taylormade R7 3 wood

Ping G10 hybrid 21*

Ping G10 Irons 4-pw

Titleist Vokey 52

Callaway 56 and 62

Ping D66 putter

I just ordered Titleist AP2 irons 4-pw and Vokey 56 and 60 wedges. I'm gonna bend the 60 to a 62 when I get it though.

 913 D2 8.5* with V2 66g stiff shaft

910F 14.25 with Diamana stiff shaft

Currently I have the following:

Titleist 910D2 (10.5°), Wilson Staff Fybrid 3w (15°), Adams a12 hybrid (21°), TaylorMade MC irons (4-PW), TaylorMade xFT wedges (52°, 56°, 60°), and a Odyssey Black Series i putter (#6).

However, I also have a set of the original Nike Forged blades that will be in play very soon... I'll use the 4-8 iron and then sometime later today UPS is delivering a set of Scor wedges which will have a 9 and PW replacement for my Nikes as well as a 53°, 57°, and 61°.

Also, this list tends to change fairly often... the hybrid I just put into play yesterday; before that I was using Wilson Staff Fybrids and had used two hybrids; now I'm just using one, but that could change again.  Also, I'm on the look out for a new Driver and 3 wood, mainly because I now have a second set of irons and wedges and would like a complete second set.

Don't get me wrong I love the Cleveland wedges too, just funny since you usually see people of all brands playing Vokey wedges and Mr. Titleist playing Clevelands.  :)

    • Day 2 (4 Apr 25) - played in the weekly men’s group shootout.  Decent day off the tee and most longer approaches.  Wedges from 70-80 out were off, but green side work was good. Overall a fun day with the crew.
    • $50??? You're not serious, I'm sure. The only thing a $50 driver will be good for is to whip your horse  as you're rounding the far turn heading into the home stretch. Seriously, go to a big box store. They all have used clubs up the wazoo and you should be able to find clubs at a reasonable price. Also, talk to the guys there. You'll be able to tell just by conversing with them which ones are interested in helping you and will provide good advise. Those companies are usually pretty good about weeding out the bad apples who are only interested in making a quick sale. The commission the big box stores pay is so miniscucle anyway that sales guys are usually brand agnostic.
    • Day 13: 4/4/25 Stack Full Speed Spectrum training session.
    • Day 186 - 2025-04-04 Worked before lessons this morning. Not a long time as the first lesson arrived pretty early.
    • Strata are decent clubs for newbies, usually furnished in a complete boxed set, with putter and bag. They're an excellent way to get going in the game and to see if you want to stick with it. If you don't, you're not out too much money but if you want to progress, you should get fit and buy better clubs with newer technology that will help you out. Most places I know of (ie: Golf Galaxy / PGA Store) charge you for the fitting which is then credited back to you when you buy the clubs, so it's essentially free. (I know GG does that...not sure about PGA.) Once you have clubs that fit you rather than you having to maybe contort yourself to fit the clubs (depending on your height/arm length/swing characteristics) you can progress and get better. Ultimately though, as the saying goes, "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian."
