Come on... What are you jealous? I tell you about my story and all of sudden i've pissed off a few club golfers who have been stuck at the same figures for years. And i know what it's like to "want to be a big hitter" when every one i played with was hitting the ball 300 yard range consistently and i could only hit the ball 200 range due to my physical size at a young age.

Yes i intend to to turn Pro once i get my consistency back. As for wether i will be making it or not we won't know until i try. Lots of people i know who have turned Pro have given up when it got tough.

I am big headed and i love it. Try it yourself and see how much your game improves.

WilliamLeWolf is a showoff and is too big headed. I saw his signature 2 dyas ago and it was very arrogant then but he has changed to even worse.

I see this going the direction of:

"What are you jealous... brah!"

"You want to play like me brah!"

"Brah! Don't be a hater at my 1337 skillz, I am the mad haxorz."

Gotta love the interwebs.

Oh I think you're confused, I don't think that the kid you're talking about is BS, and I can accept the fact that he is better than me because he is on the European Tour. What I think is absolutely hilarious about your original post is that you are boasting about what a great player you are. Let me tell you one thing, if you are as good as you are saying, you wouldn't be on this forum. You would be out on the PGA Tour making millions of dollars instead of trying to convince a bunch of people on a forum that you are an amazing player which you probably aren't. I really can't stand people like you who are full of themselves and act like they are the greatest player to walk the earth. :)

I just returned to playing (hence why i am not on TV) and yes i want to be playing on the PGA Tour this time next year. Playing great golf is a lot about the way you think and if you don't believe in yourself you will never be anything more than what you are now. There are hundreds of 4 Handicap golfers in every club and they're all missing that important thing to move on to the next level :)

I am big headed and i love it. Try it yourself and see how much your game improves.

Driver-265 +
3 wood-235-
2 iron- 220-230
3 iron- 210
4 iron- 200
5 iron- 190
6 iron- 180
7 iron- 165
8 iron- 150
9 iron- 135
P wedge- 125

I'm the oddball.. I'd much rather hit a 2 or 3 iron off the fairway than a wood. No idea why that is, I'm just much more confident with them. I can hit a 2-iron off the tee all day but can't keep a 3 wood in the same state for some reason.. lol

I love how many people claim they hit it over 300, even though the average pga distance isnt even that!! Fascinating

thats because alot of people dont realize how far 300 yards is. My friend hits his clubs way shorter than he thinks he doesn by about 10-15 yards. When he hits one pure and it doesn get to the hole, he always finds an excuse. I play with alot of different golfers, anywhere from +1 to 36 handicappers, and i hardly ever play with people who hit the ball further than i do. The exception is during tournaments or when im playing with my golf teammates. Here are my following distances:

Driver-250-260 depends 3 wood- 230 2h-215 3i-200 4i-190 5i-180 6i-170 7i-162 8i-153 9i-140 pw-130 sw-100 lw-75/80 (hardly ever hit full 58) These distances are accurate btw, hence the rangefinder in my sig.

Wow, you have way too much time on your hands! ....and just to prove that I do too, here's the handicap (self-reported) break down: Ave 12.5 Low +4 High 30 FWIW, my own yardages are quite a bit shorter than the average of what's being reported here, and my handicap is definitely towards the lower end of the spectrum. Draw your own conclusions.......

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I think these threads and the many exaggerations in them are actually hurting people's golf games. New members may actually start to believe that it is normal for the average 20+ handicap to hit his 7I 160y, while in reality a 140y shot is perfectly respectable. I catch myself on the range focussing too much on distance because I feel that something must be wrong when I hit more than 10 yards below 'internet average'.

How about starting a thread about how accurate people's shots are? It'd be hilarious to read how many 20+ hc's post they hit the green 75% of the time with a PW from 150 yards out.

Driver - 290-310
3W - 250-270
4W - 245 (easier to hit out of rough/bad lies than 2I)
2I - 240 (better trajectory/control than 4W - use it off the tee on tight driving holes and going for the green on par 5's where I have a good lie)
4I - 205
5I - 195
6I - 180
7I - 170
8I - 160
9I - 145
PW - 135
GW - 120
LW - 60 - I rarely hit a full LW, more often use a 1/2 gap wedge - just use the LW from 40 yards in.

I practice a lot of 1/2 and 3/4 gap wedges to make up the distance between the two clubs.
