Saw the infomercial for the Dr Feelgood putter this morning on Golf Channel. These sure look like a rerun from the 80's, but I'm guessing they aren't.

It seems gimmicky to me and they definitely over promise results. Even if I was the world's wort putter I'm not buying it.

Hmm. I drive the ball 400 yards with my hammer driver so I might get this putter. Thats awesome that "4 foot putts are automatic gimmies"

Just sitting on the couch laid up again for the second day now, I threw on Golf Channel and i just started LMAO!!

Its Jack Hamm, selling the Dr. FeelGood putter!!! The silliest putter I have ever seen!

yes! my life is complete....driver, 3 wood and now the putter! common knowledge says whe you hit the hammer driver the ball is automaticly going on the green so now you have to make the putt using dr. feelgood.
If you always do what you've always done....You'll always be where you are right now..

I remember in the Hammer ads, they interviewed a guy who said Hamm would win every time if he could just 3-putt. Well, seeing that putter, i now know why he can't even 3-putt.

According to the USGA Official Rules, it appears that you would be correct:

Appendix II, Section 4, (iii) Putters (see Fig. IX) When the clubhead is in its normal address position, the dimensions of the head must be such that: · the distance from the heel to the toe is greater than the distance from the face to the back; · the distance from the heel to the toe of the head is less than or equal to 7 inches (177.8 mm); · the distance from the heel to the toe of the face is greater than or equal to two thirds of the distance from the face to the back of the head; · the distance from the heel to the toe of the face is greater than or equal to half of the distance from the heel to the toe of the head; · the distance from the sole to the top of the head, including any permitted features, is less than or equal to 2.5 inches (63.5 mm).

      It kinda is… and Tiger isn't super young anymore. You're missing the fact that Tiger changed the game. Golfers put far more strain and stress on their bodies now than they did fifty freaking years ago. The sport is different now. It's faster, and you have to be significantly better now to even make it to the PGA Tour let alone stay there than you did in Jack's day.

      Day 5 March 16th, 2025 Went to the range for about an hour. Worked on backswing and downswing piece. Finally got to making shorter backswings. Feeling like the swing stops when hips get to hip height. That is more of a feeling for how much the hands move, the hands get closer to A3-A3.5.

      Seems like Jack was pretty "old" when he won his last Masters. And Gary Player is still playing, despite being a fitness freak all his life. Years ago, Cary Middlecoff stated that Tiger was going to have back problems after he reached the age of 30, due to the body torque he used in his swing. But Tiger has also had plenty of issues with the rest of his body. And the car crash certainly didn't help. Has any golfer been as "injury prone" as Tiger?
