today was absolutely frustrating...
i went to a seemingly 'empty' course with some friends and barely got thru an agonizing 9 holes in 3 1/2 hrs...
guess all the ppl came in what few cars were in the parking lot and were playing in front of us 4 holes deep...
whats strange is... the 2 groups in front of us were pretty good players from what i could observe... we got bunched up on the first par3 and they were getting girs and seemed their ballstriking was pretty good...
im thinking it was the group way in the front of the line that was holding everything up... even the beercart cutie said those guys were taking an hour to get thru a couple of holes...
guys behind us were calling the clubhouse... didnt see a marshall at all since the beginning of the round...
i had to get a raincheck for the other nine cuz i wasnt about to come up with excuses for being out 7 hrs

The most frustrating thing for me is my putter. I'm a pretty decent driver of the ball. Not ridiculous length, but my misses aren't too bad (just slightly trickling into the thick stuff). My iron play could very well be the peak of my game. My short game isn't incredible, but not bad. Just putting kills me. I'm having trouble with distance control, and of course the putts that I hit a good distance are 2-3 feet off line. It's devastating.

Doing one thing great on every hole but also doing something equally horrible on each hole. Great drive = next shot water. 6 shots to the green on a par 4 and make a 20' put. It's the good ones that keep us comming back!

Playing good one day and terrible the next. Like yesterday, I shot a 46 (+10) for nine which is above average for me and I even made a birdie, those dont happen too often for me. I played today and quit keeping score after about 3 holes, weather was to blame somewhat, course was wet and way too saturated from all the rain the night before, shouldnt have even went out there, water in the fairways, I could barely even get to one of the tee boxes because its near a pond and the cart path was under water. Usually when conditions are that bad they close the course. I didnt even plan to play there, the other course I wanted to go to I couldnt even get to, both roads into the course were flooded and impassable. I should have just went to the range, probably will thurs and maybe by friday things will dry up enough to be better, under ideal conditions theres no guarantee I'll play well, anything less and its very difficult for me.

Hitting a great drive, then ruining it by blading my chip shot.

Mosquitoes flying in between my glasses and face

Finding 12 lost balls in the woods but not finding MY ball(I saw it enter here...)

My brain getting in the way is frustrating too

For me, it's maintaining a positive and "forget about it" image. So, if I make a bad shot here to just ignore it, because if I don't it will snowball and will affect my whole game. Like Walter Hagen showed, a few bad shots, followed by one great shot can change the game completely.
