Anyone watch Golf Chnnels "Top 10" episode "Boo-isms". Every time Boo opens his mouth I am rolling on the floor laughing my %ss off. The best was in this episode, on when he was going fly to some tournament and was delayed at the airport, because security found some bullets in his bag and took him to where ever they take you. He did not believe the agent. Boo said it like this: "I told the guy if there are bullets in my bag, I'll kiss your butt. Then guy told me I better pucker up, and showed me the bullets". This dude is TOO funny!

I think it was at the SBC this year when he said "I ain't gonna shoot no Moose." I forget the context, but I fell off the couch.

I watched that too! I like how he didn't even know he could have beaten the low score in a major championship.

Also, adding up Sergio's scorecard incorrectly, when they were paired together, not once, but TWICE. The first time disqualifying Sergio from the tournament. Although Sergio should have checked the card the first time. But then also, I think Boo admitted "I wasn't never good in math".

I like when he scared the bejesus out of Anthony Kim with that turtle. Weekley is a riot

He has a great personality. One of my favorite golfers on tour.

It's not because he added wrong - it's because he wrote down the wrong score for a hole. You're only responsible, as a player, for the individual hole scores, not the addition of those numbers.

Just for clarification.

Haha yeah. I only caught the tail end of it, when they were talking about his Ryder cup antics. It was pretty funny when he rode his driver like a cowboy off of the tee box. I think its good for golf and livens it up a bit.

so as long as you correctly put your scores down hole for hole but make a math mistake adding them all up you're fine?

yes. It's not your responsibility to add them up.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

Boo is quite the character. He always has fun on the course and always has something interesting to say when they interview him.
Its a shame that a lot of people look down their noses at him because of his, "aw shucks" country boy attitude, because he's a funny guy and a great ambasador for golf.

I was reading somewhere that his nickname is after "Boo-boo" -- as in Yogi and Boo-boo... He ought to have a personalized boo-boo head cover...

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
